Hello ,
My name is Mary and I need all the support I can get .. On January 3rd 2006 I weighed in at 410 pounds since then as of today I have lost a total of 62 pounds .. I am proud of myself and can't believe that as of today I can weigh in on a Doctors scales ..
I love having people support me that know where I am coming from and have been there .. I was so discusted with myself I couldn't walk and just felt like laying around not doing anything .. I couldn't go to Walmart with my husband and walk around without a cart then I couldn't make it throught the whole store .. I have Osteo in my knees and it killed me .. But now I can walk I can do things with my husband and have fun doing it and I want to keep it that way .. I have a ways to go and hope I can count on the people here to get me through it ..

Congratulations on the 62 pounds!!! That is such a great achievement.. and doesn't it feel great to be able to "feel" the results and move around with more ease?

Hello.......and Congratulations.
Do you mind me asking how you have lost to this point ? I have lost 39 lbs......started at 365, but now I seem to be at a standstill and I don't like it. With all the things I am doing to try and lose weight, there should be blobs of fat falling on the floor as I walk along. But the stubborn stuff just wants to hang onto my body. Guess I'm a bit more lovable than I thought. :)
Anyway, I too would appreciate any support I can get from these boards. I really need it.

Well after are talk I decided I was going to do something about it so I did some research on the net and talked to a nutritionist they told me what I needed to do was count my calories by writing them down in a book so I started doing that .. Then she told me to break out the measuring cups and measuring spoons this I also did and to watch labels .. I know you think I can't do all that , but that is what I though also but I am doing it .. I also started purchasing some Healthy Choice Meals that are already set on the calories and I love them .. But most of all you have to eat healthy !!
I also got support from those who new I needed to do this my family and they are always there .. I joined Myspace at http://www.myspace.com and found some of my biggest supporters they help keep me going with their support and I am glad I have them .. And the people here are so awesome ..
If my hubby is eating something that looks good that I can't have I ask him if I can have one bite and I take one and I am done .. I thought I would never achieve weight loss but I have and I can't stand the word diet I don't want it in my vocabulary so loose that word .. Someone now ask me are you on a Diet I say no I am eating healthier ..
One day a week I eat something I don't normally eat like something really good hehehehe .. You don't have to buy the meals but do make your Measuring cups and Measuring Spoons your best friends and read those labels ..
I also tell everyone I have two Bibles my family Bible and my second is my Calorie King book you can get it for about 6 bucks at any Walmart or you can go to http://www.calorieking.com it is a great site .. The book as everything you could put in your mouth in it along with servings and how many calories the item has along with your favorite restaurants menus and calories ..
So there you have it that's how I do it ..
