I try (emphasis on the word try) to go to the gym 3-4 times a week. I follow the workout from the book based on The Biggest Loser. Lately I have been having a heck of a time getting out of bed and going.
With summer coming and warmer weather, my plan is to take my dog on a long walk after dinner each night!
I also try to go to the gym 3 x a week, I walk on the treadmill and do lower body strength exercises. I have missed a lot of exercise since I started due to illness so I just started back last week, I didn't go this week so far but I think I made up the walking yesterday and I know I will make up some today due to yesterday I was walking up and down hills on my college campus trying to take care of some aggravating leg work and today I am going on a field trip with my 5 yr old so I will actually get in more walking and up and down hills to boot than I normally would at the gym. I do not do upper body strength due to weak chest muscles that it aggravates too bad. I wish you luck in your ventures.
Right now, I'm just walking... trying for 10,000 steps a day (and made it yesterday!). I'm "saving" the gym work for a week or two until I feel a bit more steady. But the stomach and arms are pooching, so I shouldn't hold off too long!
I TRY to get in 3 exercise sessions.. that includes non-formal exercise, like taking my son to the park. My formal plan is to take my son to the park twice and exercise once on the stationary bike. But I usually get in 2 sessions a week. I am a work in progress.
Hello, I am new here. In January I started walking everyday, could only do about a third of a mile, now I do three miles a day, Work out on the ab lounger, and use my small weights about three times a week. I have lost about 14 pounds so far. I also drink lots of water and cut out pepsi entirely. I feel so much better too. Hope this helps.
i have 2 kids (ages 26 months and 10 months) so i don't get to the fitness center very often, but i try to take them for a walk in the stroller 3x/week. and i usually play w/ them in our backyard everynight.
i put each of them in a swing and i stand kind of in between them and swing each one with a different arm.. so i kinda get my "reps" in kinda like weight lifing...
plus every night i play a game with the kids, i lay on my back and i "weigh lift them".
DD wieghs about 28 lbs and i use her for the bench press DS is about 18 lbs and i use him for the triceps..
