Hi, looking for some ideas for some very low-calorie snacks. i love the veggies and fruits, but sometimes i need something else. and sometimes i'm surprised at the calories in the fruit, like grapes!! anyway, some of my favorite low-cal snacks are pickles, these new Special K bars (90 calories!) and some low-cal granola bars.

any other ideas? thanks!

Have you tried the 100 calorie packs? They come in oreo, wheat thins, peanut butter. They are great. Walmart sells them for like 2.50 a box. Very yummy.

I like turkey lunchmeat rolled up with lettuce. I also make homemade salsa (so I can control what goes in) and take a few baked chips and pile it on. The spiciness helps curb my appetite. Lowfat yogurt also seems to work well for me. I've also raided my son's Goldfish crackers when I need a carb fix. A serving (55 pieces) have 140 cals. and 5 g of fat. It usually only takes about half that to make me feel better. I just make sure and put them in a bowl instead of eating from the package.

I eat air popped popcorn (15 cal per cup) with I can't Believe Its Not Butter Spray (0 cal) and sometimes flavored topping (3-5 cal depending on the flavor, sold in a little salt container by the popcorn). Sometimes it is just enough to get rid of that intense need for something crunchy and a little salty.

Hi!

Absolutely agree about the grapes--- what sneaky little devils they are! For sweet cravings, I like sugar-free fudgesicles (60-70 calories); you could probably also make your own with diet cocoa mix. Sugar-free jello with a blob of fat-free Cool Whip is only around 30 calories, but somehow not as satisfying to me.

Speaking of satisfying, I love an individual cheese stick in the afternoon with some raw veggies to fill me up. Cut into little bits, of course, to savor it longer...

i am happy with the new yogurt i found - Dannon Light 'n' fit yogurt, it's only 60 calories!!! and it's not one of the "tiny" servings that i hate!!!
these are great so far, i appreciate it. i'm having such a hard time with counting my calories, and i don't want to get discouraged and give up!

Hey there! One snack that I have discovered to be a life saver when I have the munchies is Act II 94% fat free Mini Bags of popcorn. They're butter flavor and they are 100 calories per bag. They're SO good! I really feel like a cheater when I eat it, but I know I'm doing really good...plus its trans fat free.
