Hey, I just wanted to share my personal weight loss goals and wanted to see if anyone else would like to? My first goal which I'm working on right now is to lose from 312 to 229. So far I'm down 19 lbs. My next goal will be my final one...to be down from 229 to around 160.
So many mini-goals, like being below 250 in time for the pool! A big one is the 190ish, never-going-back-to-the-twos goal, and my ultimate goal is 135 (the last weight I felt comfortable).
Yes, I know it's going to take a while :-) but will be worth it. I already am feeling more mobile and alert!
1. to lose 20 lbs. I have never gone past that mark when I try to lose weight, I always get stuck before 20 lbs and give up. I can't give up, that is the biggest goal, NOT TO GIVE UP
2. Then my next goal is to get below 200 lbs
3. Final goal is to be a size 12 or smaller!! Hopefull by 165 or so I will be, that is the number I am figuring on.
I've decided to try to set short term goals this time because everyone says that is an easier way to work toward the "big goal" without getting discouraged.
My goal is 175, although that is high for my height 5' 7". I just know me and less then that is smaller then I want to be. I am at 197 now (I can't tell you how long it has been since I was under 200). I was 239 in October '04 so it has taken me 1 1/2 years to lose 42 pounds. I am so much more dedicated now then I was before. My hope is to be at my goal by the time I move to NC in September.
my goal is to lose a total of about 150 pounds before spring of next year. It sounds like a little much, I know, but here are the circumstances I have to work with 1- I just got out of a wheelchair after 4 years of no activity, 2- My diet hasn't increased since I was 13 (if anything, its decreased) 3- i just turned 19, and have a fair metabolism Ive lost 30 pounds & 3 dress sizes since March 1st, I think thats a good sign.
Well, I'm just back on the board, so I'm having to start my goals all over again. My absolute heaviest was 276 (that's when I used to post here), I managed to lose about 30 lbs then and totally fell off the healthy eating train. In January I was back up to 268 and joined a gym and got down to 245 before I went on vacation and totally blew everything again! Anyone else see a pattern here? LOL Anyway, I'm starting yet again, gym and healthy eating, started out Monday morning at 258, down already to 253.5, with an initial goal of 238 by the end of May. After that, I'm going to go in 20 pound increments until I hit my ultimate goal of 140/145 or a size 10, whichever comes first!
My goals are getting seperated into 10 pound increments. I started at 314 in September and am down to 267 today. so my next goal is 259, then 249 - and continuing on until I reach my desired weight. Which I actually haven't decided yet. I would LOVE to be at 120 - but I THINK I would be happy at 150. My body shape at 150 would still be pretty hot. but just to be at 120 - *dreams* wouldn't that be a beautiful thing?

Karen - where did you get that awesome weightloss ruler?? I want one :)
Sounds like you have accomplished a lot in a short time. Good for you that you are finally up and moving after so long. That is a BIG accomplishment in my book that you have overcome some hefty obstacles. Good luck with the rest of the your journey.
at my heaviest i was 342 (june 16, 2005) when DS was born. at my last weigh in i was 312. my next goal is to be under 300 then my mini goals are in 10 lb increments.
my ULTIMATE goal is to be 200 lbs by the time i turn 35 (which will be May 10, 2007) and also to be able to play and chase after my kids w/o getting winded etc.. i have 2 kids, DD is 26 months old, DS is 10 months old.
