I've been wanting to join this message board for quite a while now but I've been having computer problems and couldn't. The computer got fixed today so here I am!
I dieted and excercized like crazy for 2 1/2 years and lost 138 lbs. 3 years ago I reached 138 lbs which was exactly how much I had lost (started at 276!) Over the past 3 years I have gained back 99 of those pounds. My current weight is 237. I hadn't weighed in for months but I could feel that my clothes were getting a little tighter. The last time I has weighed I was 224. I knew I had gained at least a couple of pounds but I was trying to be in denial about it by not weighing. When I finally stepped on the scale I was shocked to see that I had actually gained 13 lbs rather than just a couple. I know that I need to get started on losing this weight but I just absolutely can not get motivated. I have tried everything that I can think of and nothing makes me want to diet or exercise. I have started dieting at least 6 times already this year and the longest I made it on one of those diets was 7 days. I don't have a problem with willpower as long as I have motivation but for some reason I'm just not excited about losing weight like I was before.

Hey there! I'm Laura, by the way. I know I can empathize with you and so can alot of us on here! I know personally that this board can help you get your motivation back. I consider it kinda like group therapy! lol It has really made me take a look at myself more often to get out of that denial stage. Its a great bunch of ladies here and I think you'll enjoy yourself.
HI!
You are at the right place. You have done some fabulous things for yourself in the past and I am sure you will find what will work for you. We all do different things here as we find what works for us.
Welcome to our journey!

Here's a thought.. don't go on a diet. Instead pick one thing that you can change for the following week and stick to it! Don't wait until you're motivated because you might
