Hello everyone, Just wanted to let you know that I enjoy reading your post about your weightloss accomplishments, great encouragement for me.

I started my weightloss journey the first of November and my son also.
He had a major setback when he broke his ankle in 2 places and dislocated it..He was total non weightbearing for 4 months..and being 440lbs not an easy task. but being his mom who would totally do anything for him we got thru it.

We changed both our lifestyles.I weighed in at 299..my biggest ever.We talked..we cried..from that day forward we havent looked back.

He is 21 so the weight just seems to come off so easy for him...to date he has lossed 95lbs bringing him to 355lbs. He lifts light weights for weightloss not muscle for 45minutes 6 days a week and walks a mile on the treadmill 5 days a week.

Im 42 weight harder to come off..but im doing it my weight loss to date is
51lbs..currently Im at 248.I do about the same exercise as he does..Since I dont work outside of the home I do try to walk 2 miles a day.

I love to give and receive encouragement. It really helps to keep you motivated. So hope you dont mind me for jumping in...

Gosh, you made ME tear up hearing your story!

Congratulations on your wonderful achievement, and congratulations to your son for having an amazing mother on his side. (Even if he will go ahead and do that typically male thing of losing weight faster and with less effort that we women...)You are truly inspirational-- thank you!

My plan is just watching calories and lots of exercise.I just try to keep my body guessing on how many calories its going to get.2 to 3days a week I keep my calories to a 1000 then the others I will give up to 1200. Thru exercise I try to burn 500 to 600 thru different exercises.
I try to get my son to eat more but he stays around 1000 calories a day. Since we started he has lost an average of 5 to 7 lbs a week, wish I was that lucky...
Just hoping it all stays this easy. Cindy
