Tell us a brief introduction about yourself... or if you're super busy, a 'Hi I'm here' will do fine :)

Hi, I'm Holli. I live in Chicago with DH and our two boys, Liam (22 months) and Max (11 weeks). I've lost all my baby weight from DS #2, and now I'm going back to work on losing all the weight I gained with DS #1 and never lost. My highest non-preg weight has been 294, and as of today I'm at 290. Not a bad start! I go back to work in 2 weeks, and I'm looking forward to getting back into the routine I had before of going to the Y to work out during my lunch hour (otherwise I never find the time for more than just a walk with the boys). Right now my biggest goals are keeping my portion sizes reasonable and drinking 64 ounces of water each day.

Hi I am Angela, 30, SAHM of 3 DD 12, DD 5, & DS 2 (in june). I am in South Alabama, and I am counting calories. I don't put summer clothes up, I wear pretty much the same stuff year round. It tends to get hot throughout the year here but I don't often wear shorts cuz I am too self concious of my size. Started about a month ago at 259.5 down to 255, have been struggling to stay on plan. Exercise i have no trouble with. My fave outfit is whatever is comfy at the moment, usually jogging/stretch pants and tshirt.

I'm 35 year old, working mother of two young boys. my hightest weight was 320, I've now lost 88 pounds and I'm down to 229.
I have to get summer clothes, NONE of my clothes fit anymore. I was a size 28, now I'm comfortably in a size 18. A friend who is also dieting gave me all her old clothes, she was a size 18 and is now a size 12. I still need some summery pants like capris i can wear at the office, so I'm going to have buy a few things.

i have a bit of advice for those of you who refuse to buy new clothes until you lose weight, that is a bad strategy. Go out and buy a couple of new outfits! You'll feel better about how you look and it will make it easier to stick to a diet. I know lots of women who think that, and they NEVER seem to lose the wieght just gain more, and feel lousy about themselves because not only are they bigger but they have nothing decent to wear! It's a bad cycle. Buy yourself something cute that fits you well, you'll feel good about how you look and therefore you'll find it easier to stick to the diet!

Than keep an eye out for a friend or co-worker you can pass those clothes onto when they no longer fit you. It's like a cicle of fashion! At my work I gave all my old clothes to another woman, who has just started to diet. I got all my clothes from a co-worker who has lost weight, and there is another woman in the office that was a size 12 and is now a size 8! So she have all her clothes to the woman who gave me clothes! We are having so much fun seeing each other walk around in our 'old' favorite outfits!

Hello, I am here, just lurking mostly. I'm Tami (22) married to DH (25). I started trying to lose weight in January, starting at 257. Currently at 235, and pretty much been there for about a month now. I have been up and down with eating, exercising. But starting monday will be hitting the gym every chance I get. Not really counting calories, but trying to learn when I'm really hungry. I usually eat lean cuisines for dinner, and sometimes Slim Fast shakes during the day.....I still have a really hard time with fast food, (fries mostly!) but have completely cut out carbination. Anyways, there we are!

I have pulled out my summer clothes, and bought some new ones. My favorite outfit consists of capris, t-shirt, and of course....my summer staple, Flip flops!

I'm Mary Anne from Alabama. I'm married with a five year old daughter. I work full-time as an Administrative Assistant.

I was diagnosed with Diabetes in March and have been told that I must lose weight. I'm not happy about it, but I'm doing it. Doing it better than I thought I would, too!

I've lost 19 pounds since the diagnosis and am continuing along. I have to be very careful about carbs and (obviously) sugar. I am not to eat anything low fat per the Nutritionist. I started counting calories this week because I realized that although I am eating low carb, this doesn't mean low calorie!

I am eating what the Nutritionist recommends on the diabetic diet and I am trying to stay under 1800 calories. So far this week I have stayed under 1500!

My summer clothes have been out a while since it gets hot early down here! My favorite summer outfit is my purple shorts with a really soft beige tee shirt.

I'm Laura (27) married to DH Tim (25) for 3.5 years. We have a 1 year old DD Kaleigh. I've been posting on here for maybe a month give or take. Its a really great board!

I've got a pair of khaki shorts and a striped shirt that I really like. I want to go buy at least 1 pair of capris and 1 pair of shorts and a couple of sleeveless button up shirts. I just bought a new bathing suit and some swim shorts to go over them. Its got an orangish tropical print and gathers at the side with a flower and has a little bit of a skirt that goes in front of it (that's why I bought the shorts...lol) Its the first swimsuit that I've really liked in a long time! BUT....I'm ready for next year and a cute little swimsuit!!

Oh...here are my stats: 312/293/229(hopefully by October)

Hi! My name is Kinda. I am a 35 year old stay at home mom of 3. DS7,DD3,DS 11 months on the 9th. I started at 253 on Mar 30th and today I am at 233. I have been at that weight for over a week. YUCK!!! My next goal is 215 by June 17th. My final goal is 135 by February of 2007. If I stick to 10 lbs a month then I should be able to make it.

I got married at 115 lbs and then went on hormones to make sure that I could have children in the future. I have endometriosis. Anyway, I gained 20 lbs the first year and then we moved three hours away from home and I had no friends my husband was in school all day and worked at night and I was depressed about the endo and I gained another 40 lbs over the next 3 years. Then I got pregnant with our first son and when I had him I weighed 237. ONLY 4 LBS MORE THAN NOW!!! After he was born I got back to 185 but when I went to work full time when he was 4 months I old I felt guilty for leaving him all day and gained to 245. Then I got laid off and my husband's practice was doing well so we decided that I would stay home with our son. I lost 30 lbs and got pregnant with our daughter. I weighed 253 the day she was born. I lost to 215 right away but over the next year got back to 245 . Then my husband took me on a cruise for our 10th anniversary and I lost to 215 before the cruise. On the cruise I got pregnant with our little souvenir. I weighed 253 when he was born too. I lost to 225 but gained 28 lbs over the next 7 months and was back to 253 again.
WOW!!! I did not realize how much I have yoyo'd all over the place in the last 7 years. I am really wanting to lose weight but my motivation is fading. I have to do this this time.

My 7 year old weighs 97 lbs and that is probably my fault. I have not been a very good role model. I am really going to give it my all now. It has to be worth the year that it will take to set a better example for him and to feel good about myself again.
I have not been eating great but I have exercised every day except one for 4 weeks on Saturday. I have done at least 45 minutes every time and most days more. That alone is huge for me. I am trying to be more active with the kids too. Making sure they play outside on nice days and run around while I play with them.
I am going to quit rambling now.

Thanks for listening

Kinda
