Hi, all! I'm Christine, and I'm new to the board.
I just started doing the Hilton Head Metabolism Diet yesterday and so far, so good! It's definitely low cal but seems filling and it has an exercise component. I walk on the treadmill twice a day and plan to join Curves for toning. We are going on a beach vacation in late June so I am really motivated!
I look forward to sharing information and successes while learning here on this board.

Welcome Christine,
You will find a lot of support and wonderful people here.
I am not familiar with Hilton Head Metabolism Diet. Can you tell me a little more about it?
Looking forward to your posts and getting to know you.
Karen
Welcome and good luck to ya. I have never heard of this diet either but if it is working for you then awesome.

Karen,
The HHMD is actually an old diet book (early 90s is when I first tried it) that has been revamped. I'm opting to do the old with some additions of the new.
It has 4 meals designed to rev up the metabolism. The meals are not gourmet but are easy to follow. Dinner last night was 5 oz baked chicken, a medium baked potato, 1/2 cup asparagus, 1/2 cup strawberries with 1 Tbs of vanilla yogurt over fruit. The new thinking is to do the Low-cal Monday through Friday then increase cals by 250-300 on Sat and Sun.
After two of the four meals, exercise is required. This is done 20-30 minutes after the end of the meal and should last 20 minutes. I walk on my treadmill for this.

Welcome to the board Christine.. This is the first time I hear about this plan, but from what you described, it sounds like a good plan, mainly low cal healthy choices and exercise.
