Why am I so hungry???

I mean I literally can't stop eating since about 2 pm. I am physically hungry. My stomach is growling and I just want to eat. I have tried to be good but unfortunately I am above where I wanted to be today. I think I will go to bed early so I don't eat anything else...Arrrrghhh, this week has been rough trying to get back on track. THANK GOD I set the goal of just not gaining vs trying to lose this week, which may be a good thing for me anyhow. I think I need to learn to maintain after every few lbs lost to adjust to it so I don't keep yo'yoing. What do ya'll think about that?? I mean I have the frustration of losing a few, gaining a few, losing a few.....so on and so forth. It can be frustrating as I know some of you have posted about the same problem lately. Maybe it is stress. I still have GOT to learn to deal with it in other ways but one good thing about it all is I am not giving up, that is new for me, and I feel better emotionally today more as the day goes by. I have drank all my water so that is good. I just have to get my hunger pangs under control. I think I am PMS'ing, I tend to get like this but considering I am all over the place where that is concerned I can never be sure til it actually hits. Okay I know I am rambling and I am sorry if it sounds like all I do is complain lately but seriously it helps me to put it down in front of me. I am just aiming at not gaining and drinking my water. I know I can eat a large amount of calories without gaining so I won't worry too much as long as I don't have another day like yesterday.

Okay, I know I am not the only one out here struggling this week as once again i have read the posts so....WE CAN DO THIS!!! We can get back on track. I just hate that I was doing so well last week only to have this hit. Okay, enough beating myself up, and time to get back on track. I have to eat healthier choices tommorrow whether I am constantly hungry or not I still make better choices, lower cal choices.

Well, 3 things it could be. 1) You aren't eating ENOUGH calories compared to how much you are burning off. 2) You are lacking in some nutrients, like calcium, iron etc, your body warns you sometimes about some nutrients it needs. Pay attention to what you are craving...3) You could be thirsty. Its getting warmer, so, it could be thirst. Sometimes the body is thirsty but triggers the same feeling as hunger....
Hope that helps. Don't know if it really will, but good luck!

Are you drinking enough water? It might be thirst in disguise.

It's OK to be hungry, you increased your calorie range the last few days and your body is demanding this again. It will take a couple of days and your stomach will 'shrink back' LOL. Just snack on healthier alternatives and eat high fiber food (they satisfy your hunger for longer). When I'm really hungry I find that protein does it for me. Granted eating chicken

If I am not eating enough calories then HOLY COW, I have been over 2000 since friday, and I haven't been exercising since then either. Nutrients, I am not going to say is impossible but I did start taking a multivitamin last week. Thirst, I hope not that one either cuz I am drinking water, and to the point of nausea to boot. I feel gorged on the water I have been drinking so much more. I hope it is only PMS, maybe that has something to do with my moodiness too...LOL!! If so it wiill be over in about a week adn I will be A OK again.

I started off this morn with a protein bfast to see if that helps...So far I am still a little hungry but not like yesterday afternoon, then again it usually hits me in the evening. I am increasing my protein a bit to see if that helps, I am a big protein eater anyways but....maybe it will help. I had scrambled eggs with cheese for bfast, and I am having chicken tenders with DS for lunch, and I am drinking my water, I PROMISE that is the only thing I didn't crash on over the weekend...LOL. I am actually craving it now, and getting in more than my goal some days cuz I want it. I don't feel thirsty so ...Maybe Mary is right and my up in calories the last few days is the culprit. I have some appetite suppressants so if it gets too bad I will try taking those for a couple days, that is usually all it takes, but I don't really like taking them, they leave a nasty taste in my mouth..LOL maybe that is why they work. It is just green tea extract so...who knows. as far as my mood goes, it is MUCH better today, I am tired, but I am in better spirits and even though I was SHOCKED at how many calories my HIGH protein bfast consisited of I am working on staying under 2000 today, then tommorrow I will go to 1800 and so on til I get back to 1600 or below and STAY THERE!!! Why do the weekends have to be sooo hard?? I have a bday party to go to this weekend and they are grilling and having cupcakes. My friend says we won't be so bad we will split a cupcake, I don't know about her but that is just enough to make me mad so I probably won't have any. LOL I know they will have water for 2 reasons, 1. that is about all she drinks and 2. it is at the lake and will be warm. They are planning to swim at the lake but I am worried that the water will be too cool for my kids since they are just getting over the cold/sinus crud. Anyways, got to get my calories back down, and plan for sunday.
