Hi!

Has anybody used NutriSystem or Jenny Craig? I lost about 100 lbs with gastric bypass but I have gained some weight back and it does not seem to work for me anymore.

I was thinking about using either one of those.

Thanks

Tracy

Hi. If I were you, I would do weight watchers or something like that.

The problem with Nutrisystem and Jenny Craig is that although you do lose the weight, you have to buy and eat their food. There are many people who gain the weight back once they go back to normal eating. Unless you are willing to buy their food for the rest of your life. I have heard that the food isn't so hot either.

Weight watchers is more of a portion control and balance system using real food. You go to the regular supermarket and everything so it is easier to maintain for life. Weight watchers has an online system too. You can go to meetings or do it on your own.

(I do not work for or get any money for this advertisement. LOL I just love it.)

I am leary of plans that require you to eat special food.

When you stop eating their food, the weight comes back.

I recommend anything that does not require your giving up foods.

Try counting calories or WW. You have to think of this as a life change, not a diet.

I wish you the best in

I agree, I'm leary of a program that you need to eat their food. I would rather cut calories. I never did WW so I can't tell you anything about it. I too would think that when you finish eating their food the weight comes back. Good luck with whatever you try.

Hello and welcome to the board Tracy.. I haven't really tried any of the 2 programs, so I can't give you any advice there. But I do agree with the ladies that it would be more beneficial on the long run (and cheaper) to follow programs that do not require you to buy special food (unless ofcourse you're planning on buying the special food for the rest of your life). I see that a lot of ladies swear by WW (haven't tried their program myself, I'm an old calorie counter).

But again the most important thing is finding something that works for YOU. Everybody is different and what works with someone doesn't work with another. Good luck with whatever you chose and keep us posted.
