Hello everyone! I have been reading through the posts and decided it was high time I introduce myself. I am 27, 5'6" and I currently weight 239lbs, this is an all time high for me. I have gained about 75lbs in the past year or so and needless to say I am very unhappy with my body right now. I have started the "get healthy" process more times than I can count in the last few months but something always comes up that throws me off. I have very little if any willpower. I love food, I love to eat, I am definately an emotional eater. I am hoping this group can help keep me on track!

Hi and welcome to the board. This is a great board with great people and great advice. :) The best way to start is ti start out small. Eat healthy, drink lots of water and start to exercise. Good luck.

Welcome to the board... your story sounds sooo familiar. The best advice I can give you is never to give up. Even when you screw up, get right back on track. And don't try to do a lot of stuff at once so you don't feel overwhelmed. Make 'better' choices instead of 'perfect' choices. And always have one goal to achieve during the week. Let it be drinking water, getting a walk, anything. Just chose one thing and even if you can't do much more, you know you're keeping to this one goal and you'll add up to it when you can. And this way you won't 'forget' about your commitment.

I'm looking forward to knowing you better. Post often and tell us how you're doing
