I need to stop drinking so much alcohol it adds to many calories (although I don't really know how much other people think is to much I grew up LDS). At least I am using diet tonic water for my gin and tonic. Anyway I better get to bed (which is why I am drinking it, it makes me sleepy) because I have to get up early and after working graveyard I am not use to it, although I have always been a night person. I think I will start taking sleeping pills for a while until I get use to my new schedule(hopefully I do eventually.) Anyway I will stop rambling and go to bed.

Just don't take the sleeping pills WITH the alcohol. And you are right, alcohol can really add up in the calorie department. Especially if after a few drinks your judgement is severely impaired and you are like me--wanting to eat all the high calorie foods that I would otherwise forego. Not to mention that I rarely drink lightly when I do drink. After a few drinks, whats one more, right? Or 4 more? Anyway, if you are having trouble getting to sleep, maybe try reading or taking a bubble bath, or listening to some relaxing music. Good luck to you.

My sympathies-- lack of sleep is such a thorny problem, and it seems like anything you can do to combat it winds up being bad for you in the long run. Perhaps in a couple of weeks your body will adjust :-) Sending out good vibes in the meantime...

Thanks Everybody,
I have tried to read before I go to bed and it just makes me stay up later LOL I get interested in the book and can't stop until I'm done with it. (Just one more chapter). I can't fit in the bathtub so taking a bath isn't that relaxing. I hope I adjust soon, not that I ever have been even in high school when I had to get up early. So I hope that was just because I was a teenager and age will help that. I stayed up late all weekend too, so that didn't help with the adjusting, but life will go on.

LDS?? I have racked my brain but can't figure it out so I thought I would ask what it means?? Good luck to you on the sleeping, I had the same problem when I came off graveyard several years ago, and all I can say is it does get better with time, takes a while but it does.

Sorry I should have been more specific, LDS is the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints (most people call them Mormons).

Your welcome to ask more question if you like or haven't heard of it, althought I should note I do not believe the religion anymore.
