Hi all!
I am a 42 with 2 kids (daughter 1 and son 15) and 3 step (27, 24, 20). I am new to message boards so please excuse the longhand. I started an exercise program and food journal last week. Going good so far: starting weight 315.5, current weight 310, goal weight 145. My friends and I are using The Fitness Challenge game to get us started. However friends are not as excited about the idea as I had hoped. Hoping this board will help with movtivation; always nice to know others are also along for the ride. Any advice is greatly welcome.

Tomorrow is the end of our second week and I am proud to say that I surpassed our exercise goal for this week. Can you tell I am a competitive person? LOL. The "wager" cards can be a lot of fun and there are blank cards to use if you have your own ideas; which is even better.

It sounds like you're really making progress already, and bringing a lot of determination and creativity to the process.
