My goal is so simple, to go down to the pool and swim... and it's Saturday night and I still haven't made it. I've been busy, and it's been raining/thundering a couple of the evenings when I thought I might go. But the truth is, I'm freaking out about being seen in public in a bathing suit! (Like people can't see how, er, "fluffy" I am anyway, right?)

Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow.

I did it, and so can you. I went to the pool at the Y with the kids and I was the biggest one there, so trust me I was quite paranoid but ya know what, my kids had fun and so did I. Just have fun and don't worry about what anyone may think.

I was in Disneyland yesterday and today in the hotel I didn't swim in the pool, even though I like it so much because of the same problem. I just looked how my kids swam with their daddy.... I hope that in 3-4 months I will not be so ashamed of swimming in public.

Anyway, there was this older woman who was bigger then me and she was enjoying the pool. I was happy for her for not feeling bad. It doesn't matter how big we are, we should enjoy every bit of our lives. When I was younger and much slimmer I was thinking the same thing and was shy to show off my body. Now I am looking at those old pictures and think how stupid I was to think that way - I was so beautiful.

Misha.. go for it! And believe me, as soon as you actually hit the water, you'll forget about the whole weight thing and will just have fun. You should see me after my first splash in the water.. I even go walking on the beach.. yep in a swimsuit

It's Sunday and I'm way behind on the goals, but it's not entirely my fault.

I had food poisoning, so it's hard to track what I ate

I understand being shy of your body no matter how big you are. I was always shy of my upper half as that was all the males of the species seemed to notice and I walked around in Tshirts that were much bigger than everyone else I knew and they were long to cover my butt too...LOL. The only thing I liked to show off was my legs. I like you was very thin back then, in fact I was underweight then, yet the weird thing is, everyone told me I was fat. Looking back I can't believe I let them make me so insecure when I did look good. I may not have been model pretty but I was pretty. My point is, I learned not to worry so much about what everyone thought of me, and learned to just enjoy myself. It took me a long time, I was in my late teens before I finally got to where I would think of a 2 pc and then I was selfconcious still. It is hard, but try to work on it so you don't miss out on playing with your kids for another 4 months. BELIEVE ME I was self concious about going out to the pool at the Y but Ds and DD5 couldn't go without me so........I got my butt out there and let them have a BLAST!! My Dh doesn't like the water so....I don't have a choice if my kids want to play. I love EVERYTHING to do with the water, boating, tubing, swimming!! I just love being around the water, and as I swimm I know I am helping myself to lose weight and gain muscle and get back to where I want to be in life. Try looking at it like that. Do you go to a gym? If so then think of the pool like the gym, it is fun exercise!! Hope these ramblings of mine have helped you.
