Think to your self what is the alternative? More weight gain, being even less satisfied with your efforts. Reset what you're doing. Do something to keep your hands busy instead of eating when bored. I do dishes ( i live with a guy, the kitchen gets really messy), heaven forbid do my homework, drink water instead or just ice because it's crunchy and something to chew to fill that need to feed, or i go out for a walk; even if it's just around the block. Stress takes it's toll on all of us and will knock us off the wagon of success. Dust yourself off and get back on. Because you're worth it.

New meds tend to have some bad adjustment times. But that's the keyword time. Give your obdy the time it needs to get used to the new meds. Drink tons of water, your body will thank you.

Keep with it and have faith in yourself.

Depression is such a difficult thing and reaks havoc on every aspect of your life. I have depression and am on AD and it works pretty well for me to not have the blues... or worse. Did you feel better when you were on the other med? If so, then this doesn't sound like the med for you and I would talk to your doctor. It's so hard to do anything if you are feeling depressed.

Are you looking for a new job? I've had jobs that I just hated and dreaded going to... it helped in that case to have a plan of action to find a new job. It finally got so bad I sent out 100 resumes in 1 day (I just looked in the phone book to find companies that would have a job in my field) and I ended up getting many interviews and some job offers.

*HUGS* to you.

Hi, Dharma==

I agree with Audrey, try to do one thing to break the cycle. Just like sleeping day the day away and eating carbs is a self-perpetuating rut for me, getting active and eating healthier food tends to make me feel better, and that makes it easier to be more active and keep eating good food, and so on. Maybe it will be the same for you.

And don't be too hard on yourself during the adjustment period for your meds. Things are bound to look a bit bleak while the chemicals rebalance, but you've already lost some weight and you're doing what needs to be done to move forward. Hang in there!
