Hi again everybody!!! Hope everyone is doing great.I come here almost everyday, but very slow to post.I take alot of the advice giving and put it into mine and jon's change of lifestyle.(Hopefully I will get over my shyness and post more I get depressed and figure I dont have anything to offer)
One of the best things for Jon and I was giving up soda and fast food. Neither one of us have had either since December. He does do diet soda once in a while.
Since I see alot of new people since I originally posted. I started my change of lifestyle at 299 and Jon wieghed in at 440.(This was on Nov 6th 2005).This morning before he left for work we weighed. Jon weighed 332 lbs...yeahhhhhh Jon he gets so excited. He is 21 years old hopefully by the time he turns 22 he will be way under the 300 lbs mark which is November.
I weighed also this morning (after hiding from the scale for a month or more...scared..lol) I am now so very happy it said 236..yeah me.It seemed like it was stuck in the high 240s forever.
Well hope my being depressed will be over ..and I will quit hiding...Cindy

Don't be shy!! Any little thing that you could tell us can help!! Like how not to be a picky eater (which i am. i have baby carrots sitting in my fridge waiting to be tried. but i'm so scared!) Just even drop in to say hello!

Hey
I understand where you are coming from.. I read a lot here but never post.
I was 260 when I started here.. I am 208 now... ( 208 are from my scales at home.. the scales at the gym reads about 15lbs more) That really does not matter much to me as long as the lbs are leaving...I started my healthy eating in Feb. of this year...
I exercise and watch what I eat... Not really on any plan! I have not gave up my diet soda yet. I am working on that one.. I still struggle with water intake..
I know I need to drink it .. I know it would help lose the weight but I am not there yet.. I guess I am stubborn..!!!
Congratulations on the weight loss you have achieved... This is a long slow process.. But it is so AWSOME when you start to feel better..
I love the fact I can jog a little now.. Keep up with my 3 sons.. ( two of which are teenagers)..
It really has been life changing so far.. I can not wait till I get off 50 more lbs..
I guess I better go start on that glass of water..
Have a Blessed day!
Tracey
i never trust scales at gyms. i feel like they add weight to them to make you think you're heavy than you are so you work out more. my scale at home adds ten (i can't figure out how to zero it out), so every morening is like a math problem waiting to happen!
I can't wait to be back down to 200lbs. I was a size 14 and life was good!! I like being a size 14, well then again i don't really remember being any smaller. I was a 14 for like 6 years then i 'bloomed' into a 20 in three years.
i'm stubborn and just want to shed it all off now. yesterday i slacked on my water (only drinking about 40 oz to my regular 100-128 oz.) so i retained some water because my scale said i gained a pound back. which is crap because i busted my hump at the gym yesterday.
i just have to be less stubborn. i want immediate results, and i want them to be big, and i want them now. but it doesn't happen like that. it's a life style change. this isn't for vanity, it's for life.
I'm sure i've rambled enough..
