Just a quick catch up with everyone - I'm still here (ok it's only been 4 days hehe)

Hope all is well, and people are still motivated!

I was just wondering what people's key tips at remaining motivated were? I'm one of these people that is motivated for a few days and then it starts to decline! So any advice would be appreciated!

Take care all!

What do you mean by motivation? If you mean the fire and extreme energy and desire to lose the weight and being focused 100% all the time.. then I'm sorry I don't know how to keep that alive all the time. I don't think it's even possible. But you can always find ways to keep yourself reminded of your goals everyday. Like waking up to exercise as previously mentioned. I journal everyday and come here to the board and read and post everyday, even if I'm not doing so well I write it down in the journal and come here and share. It's like a reminder that I have a mission and even if I'm not so fired up for it, that doesn't mean I am letting it go. Sometimes I go to work so fired up for a new idea or a new project and then the excitement fades off. That doesn't mean I stop going to work does it? I still go and work and give it all I have. It's the same with weight loss. You just do it. Think of something simple to keep you focused. Even if it is drinking a cup of water when you first wake up. Just a reminder to keep the weight loss in the back of your mind all day.

And whenever you hit the 'super motivation zone', cherish that and make the best of it. Be extra good and exercise more and use it to shed as many pounds as you can.

I've been at this for over a year now and I gained and lose momentum so many times. What I can say is that I've been at it for the entire year. Not losing for the entire year, but not once throwing in the towel and gaining weight. When I am really losing momentum I still have weight loss in the back of my mind, so when I gain a few pounds I immediately lose them back.
