I was watching a documentary last night about this lady who had gastic bypass surgery. After she had lost 100+ pounds, she had lots of excess skin. So she had plastic surgeries (7 of them) to remove the excess skinn from her body. She was happy with the results, but in my opinion, the scars from all the surgeries looked worse than having the excess skin. I don't think I would have the surgeries done because for one thing, all total the proceures costed her upwards of $45,000 and for another thing, I don't think its worth it even if I had the money just to wind up with a bunch of surgical scars that might make me look like Frankenstein. And I have already had major surgery once in my life, and would like to avoid having to go uner the knife ever again. My recovery was both long and due to the fact that I could not do much of anything for myself(i.e. take showers, get dressed, walk for very far or very quick)it was quite embarrassing. Although my husband was very supportive and understanding and helpful, I don't want to put him in that position of having to attend to my personal hygene(sp) like that again if I can help it. So my answer is a definite NO. But, to each their own, I suppose. Katherine 349.2/339.4/145
Ok I was so ready to say -no way - that I would have any plastic surgery but to be honest if I had the money I would do the breast lift and a tummy tuck. Jen
My sister ni law had gastric bypass september of last year! I am so darn jealous she weighed 255 and she's 143 now and gorgeous I thought she was pretty nayways but she looks great now and I wish I could do the same. She has good insurance paid around $200 for doc visits and nutrisians and $500 for the actual surgery insurance paid the rest!Must be nice she had not 1 complication with it besides the yucky sicky feeling the 1st couple weeks. Well I am out to prove I can do it without surgery I have lost 33 lbs so far would have been 39 lbs but I gained back 8 do to family problems but I started back 2 nights ago. Tammy 255/222/199(mini)
I would go with no. I have seen documentries and stuff, it sounds really scary. I don't like pain and I don't think I could handle the recovery period.
Tummy tuck and boob lift!! My friend lost all her weight and had her tummy tucked and a boob job/lift and she looks fantastic now. Made me seriously think of it IF I need it when I finish. I know I will have a need for a boob lift!!

if i had the $$, once i lose this weight, i would get a tummy tuck to get rid of the "flap" and a breast reduction, or at least a lift.

I have had 3 C-sections.. My tummy will never be the same again..
HMM.. I with Sara, I would likely get a breast reduction or at least a lift, but I would have to be at my goal weight first.
On the other hand, I am planning on lazer hair removal once I reach my goal so I never have to shave my legs again :)
