I noticed that a lot of us super active ladies are busting our butts each week and having fitness goals.. let's see how different or similar our fitness programs are.

I don't have a routine per se, but here's some of what I do.

I keep a small notebook with me at the gym so I can keep track of strength training and cardio.

on the treadmill/bike/eliptical I have a set time of 30 minutes and basically all I try to do is beat is to go a little further than last time. for instance the last time I traveled 1 mile on the treadmill and .6 miles on the elpitical. this time I will try to travel at least 1.1 miles on the treamill and .7 miles on the elpitical in the same amount of time.

I love the eliptical machine. I can't do a lot on it, but it gets my heartrate up and makes me sweat!! The treadmill I feel like I can't get past a certain point because of the shin splints.. but I'm still trying.

I do strength training everytime I go as well. 2 sets of 12 reps. I mark in my notebook the weight used for each rep and if I feel like I'm ready to go up to the next weight range, I put a star by the number.

I also stretch before and after.

very little makes me feel as good as after I've had a good workout. My skin looks and feels better. I feel energized and powerful

Ideally I want to do an hour of exercise a day plus 45 minutes of walking, but I have decided that if that is not doable every day I have to do at least 30 minutes of cardio. Like today, I woke up at 6:45 (instead of usual 5:30) and there was not enough time to exercise the way I prefer as I shoud be at work by 8, and there is lots of things to do before leaving my home. So I decided to exercise at least 30

I workout 30 mins/ day, 5 mornings/week. I do the Leslie Sanson "Walk Away he Pounds" routine. I do the 2 mile walk, but am hoping to start the 3 mile walk in 2 weeks. Haven't noticed that it is helping my weight loss efforts recently, but I definitely have more energy and my pants are looser. I too would like to hear oter people's workout routines.

Take care,

Jessica

Right now my fitness routine is trying to get in 20 minutes of walking every day. I've almost always focused on walking as my exercise of choice, although I used to use my exercise bike and stair stepper regularly in the past when walking wasn't an option. Soon I will be aiming for at least 30 minutes a day of walking/exercise, but that's about as high as I've ever aimed, although I do like going on 3-5 mile walk/hikes regularly when given the chance.

I work out thirty minutes 5 days a week with tapes/dvd = WW dvd Get in Shape (3 days) and alternate between Leslie Sansone and Kathy Smith walking tapes. i walk on weekends. I also wear a pedometer daily and do push to get in my 10,000 + steps daily.

this routine helps keep the weight off and that is motivation in itself.

Well, I've kinda just started over on the whole working out thing. I would do it hit or miss every week (sometimes not at all), but I seriously slacked. Currently for me its 15 minutes on my elliptical 3 days a week. I like my elliptical because its almost no impact which is good because I have weak knees and ankles.

I aim at 5 days of cardio a week with Friday & Saturday off (my weekend). I recently started walking 30 minutes a day (sneaking out from work) which proved really nice because 1) I can't exercise early in the morning 2) When I postpone exercise till after work I usually don't get to it or I am too tired. So Finally I realised that the best time for me is DURING work.

When I get to the gym I do about 10 minutes of ab exercises (crunches on a ball) and then other ones to work uppper lower and obliques. Then I go about 20 minutes with barbells for my arms. I really hate the flab.

Then I do 45-60 monutes on the treadmill, vary the speed up to 4 mph and the incline up to 9.

It works when I do it. And I feel really good afterward.
