My Grandma died last night, and we were very close. Its been really hard on me, I can't decide if I want to starve myself, or eat everything in the house....Stupid I know. Its just a big sign to me how much I "emotionally" eat. Stupid....

Dear Tami,
I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother. "Stupid" is not an adjective I'd use to describe your actions though. People deal with emotional pain in all sorts of ways, and turning to food for comfort is among the top reactions. Just try to remember that food (or willfully not eating) is only a temporary way to deal with grief. And it will do more harm to your body than it will do good to your emotions. I'm sure your grandmother would want you take good care of your body and health. I don't think she would want you to hurt yourself because of the pain you feel because of her death. Please know that we are here for you if you want or need to talk through your grief. May God be with you Tami.
