Hi everyone
Just found this message board, and wanted to say a quick hi!
My name is Heidrun and I am a 31 year old woman from Iceland. In the beginning of 2006 I had become a whopping 403 lbs, and was in desperate need to lose weight before it would literally kill me. I started a food-program that has worked wonders for me, and I have not had a binge or a cheat from the food-program since I started 2. january. In fact I havent eaten sugar since that time. Now less then 6 months later the total loss is up to 81.5 lbs. I am just very happy and fortunate to have enjoyed this 6 months, because they have been without a doubt the happiest time in my life, and a revelation on what happened when I lost the control of my life, and the food.
I hope I will have a good time on this board. You will recognize me again with my LOOOOONG posts and answer plus opinions that dont always fit in the "normal" category. If you want you can see my before and after 75 lbs pictures in my weightloss journal:

Hello there, Heidrunb!!!!
I just wanted to give you the SINCEREST CONGRATULATIONS on your fantastic weight loss!!!!
GREAT JOB!!!! And I can see such a significant difference in your photo. Good for you!!!!
I , myself, started at 319 pounds....lost 55, but it took me 14 months on a low carb diet. I will be starting Weight Watchers points plan as of tomorrow, which will hopefully break my 4+ month plateau of going up and down the same 5 pounds....which pretty much sucks!!!! I'm like 270 pounds and hope to lose another 100 within the next year.
Well, thanks for telling us your story (your so-far story-because it sounds like you'll be just fine losing the rest of your weight....good luck, by the way!!!!)---it really motivated me to start this plan and do something with my life. THANKS AGAIN!!!!
Take care,
Melissa
Hello, Heidrun!
I really enjoyed your website, and your refreshing take on obesity and weight loss, especially the idea that the motivation for this change should come from loving and accepting yourself, not self-loathing.
Welcome aboard, and good luck with losing the rest of the weight. Congrats on your success so far. It sure is encouraging to hear success stories!!
