Okay, in the past when I've dieted, DF has always been supportive but just never quite got it. He didn't understand why I needed to print off the restaurant nutrition guides or write down what I ate. He's always said "all you have to do is watch your portions." Well, he's never been obese and had issues with food! I just couldn't get him to get it though. Recently I joked with him that "we" were going on a diet and he actually said okay. He has been watching what he eats, but he just doesn't understand how bad some things are for you (until I point it out :)). I'm so proud of him, though, because tonight he said to me "I think I'm going to start keeping a small notebook with me so I can write down everything I eat"! Oh my lord, I almost fell over! This came from the man who scoffed at me last year for doing the same thing. I think he's realizing this whole weight battle just isn't all that easy, especially when you're so used to overeating or mindless eating. Had to give him a pat on the back for realizing something that most of us learned so long ago but that most people never get unless they have been seriously overweight (he's about 15 lbs overweight, but has gained 25 since we met 2 years ago.)

So he finally realised it LOL.. I wish dh follows in his path soon because he's starting to drive me crazy... he lost a few pounds 'his way' and now he's the expert!

Oh, I completely hate that! Last year DF was just like that and I wanted to shoot him most of the time! He's also been asking me how many calories most of his favorite fast foods have and has been cutting back on them, too :). That means so many less temptations!
