Love the One You're With...YOU!

Anyone remember that old song? I've been reading a lot of posts from people who are down on themselves because they feel out of control or are wondering how they got to their current size. I can completely relate to the feeling of desperation, but none of us can let that drive us. What's at your core? That's who you need to do this for--the person who will be there whether you gain or lose. If we don't all find value in ourselves then no one else in our lives will. It sucks that the first thing people might think about us is "What a fatso!" or "Lazy and eats all day." Is that all there is to you? There's much more to me, and I refuse to be pulled into that kind of thinking! My family doesn't love or not love me based upon the size of my butt, why should I? Reaching a normal weight would really enhance my life in a lot of ways, but the cool things about me (and er, um the annoying things) follow me regardless of what the scale says. "If you can't be with the one (body?) you love, love the one you're with!" Cheers, Annie
