Just saying hello to anybody out there...

This month is almost over which is a relief for me because it wasn't exactly the best month for weight loss. Not really the whole month it was the past week that undid all the hard work. Just looking forward for August.. I always like a fresh start :) and looking forward for the August challenge because I need to get back to exercise.

I'm just rambling on here.. just wanted to say hi

Hey Mary....

You and I are definately in the same boat for July. I started Weight Watchers on July 3rd (thinking that if I can diet during a holiday weekend, I can diet ANYTIME---was I wrong!) Here's how it went for me:

(highest weight = 319)
started WWs at 275
Week 1 weigh-in: lost 6 pounds (269)
Week 2 weigh-in: gained .6 (269.6) thanks to TOM
Week 3 weigh-in: gained .4 (270) :( what's my excuse now?!?!?
I'm now offically afraid to weigh in tomorrow.

So, like you, I'm REALLY looking forward to August so I can look at it as a new start.
Good luck to you this month.

Melissa,
I'm sorry your month has been so rough. I don't mean to knock Weight Watchers because I know that it works really well for a lot of people. For me it's never been very effective. I'm really not a big eater and already eat within my points range except for occasional feast days. :-) I needed to really boost my exercise (like to 90 minutes a day) and/or consume about 5 points less than the low end of the point range. I went with a friend who is about the same size as me but a compulsive eater and she would cheat and eat about 5 points more than her upper range and she'd still lose about 3 pounds a week. It was really rough to sit in the meetings. I felt like everyone thought I was pigging out and that she was sticking to the plan. Good luck finding what works best for you. I'm still struggling myself. Cheers, Annie
