Hi. My name is Kristin. Im 6'0 and about 300lbs and 21 yrs old. (I fluctuate between 290-300, although now I believe I am around 305 cause i cant get into my jeans!!)
Im not sure what my ideal weight is. I guess around 165. Doubt Ill ever get there. But my goal is 190-200. Ive decided to go back to weight watchers tomorrow. (its been a year and a half) Im just afraid that I wont stick with it again, Im usually good for like 2 weeks then I have an off day and i come crashing down. I lead a pretty sedentary life style, its super hard for me to become motivated to work out. Does anyone have any ideas that work for them. I also have no energy and I know that I need to lose weight so I can perform my job better, i need to have a lot of stamina for my line of work.

Ive viewed this board before, just htough i would introduce myself, and maybe get some pointers.

thanks
Kristin

Welcome aboard Kristin.. we're glad you're joining us.

It seams we're turning into a WW's board LOL.. a lot of the members here are turning to WW's. I wish you luck this time around and here's a thought for you: when you have an off day, just put it behind you and get back on track immediately... no excuses. When I'm doing well I give myself an off meal every week. I feel good about it and once it's over then I'm back on plan. I think it really helps.

I too have trouble exercising and once I fall off the routine I never get back on. But I hope this time it will be different. And I know that when I keep trying eventually I'll get it LOL. We're starting an exercise challenge in August to help us get motivated.. please join us if you think it will help you. (to find the post, scroll down to the journaling and challenges area)

Best of luck!

Welcome aboard. I wish you the best of luck! I am curious what your line of work is that requires so much stamina?

Hi, Kristin,

Nice to meet you! Good luck at WW tomorrow... I think it's a good program, and one that can teach you the skills you'll need to maintain your weight loss in the real world.

As for exercise, you'll probably get a fair amount "kneading" your clients. Have you also considered walking, to get started on a program? On the advice of my nutritionist, I picked up an inexpensive little pedometer and tracked my steps during the day, gradually increasing the number until my poor little pedo gave up. Studies have been done showing that the average woman takes about 5-6k steps per day; Amish women do easily double to triple that, and are rarely overweight. Of course, they probably don't dine at Taco Bell, either...

Are you joining the August exercise challenge? If so, I'll see you there- and we can keep each other going.

Hey Kristin! I'm Natalie and I'm also a newbie to the board and everyone has been SO wonderful! I'm where you are. I'm around 5'10 and 285lbs. Where do you get jeans to fit you??? Haha! I'm a size 22 almost in a 24 and I'm so depressed. I'm not sure what diet to go on. I was doing good on WW a few years ago. I lost about 45lbs, but then my mom died and I got off of it. Right now it's hard for me to go to the meetings and so on..plus it doesnt help that I'm a finicky eater. I love meat, potatoes, pasta...carbs I say. I lost about 90lbs ten years ago with the help of Phenfen and now I want to get happy and be healthy. I'm not into being the person I am right now. You know something...too bad all of us don't live near one another...we could clothes swap:)

I mostly shop at lane bryant and fashion bug. I dont like lane bryant though, too expensive and the clothes are cheap. I just get my jeans there, the only place i can get talls. I like fashion bug for shirts, they are reasonable and dont shrink.

How do i join the aug challenge?
