Goals for the first week of August

OK I know it's technically not August yet, but I just couldn't wait LOL.. besides it's Monday so it's a good time to set some focus points for this week.

For me it's simple: Stick to the exercise challenge and give myself a big boost for the first week start. I will measure up tomorrow to see where I'm starting and *gulp* will jump on the scale for an 'official' weigh-in.

I want to lose some serious weight this month.... (BTW for me the definition of 'serious weight' is around 4 lbs)

My goals for the first week of August are pretty simple too:
Exercise at least 5 days (yes, I'm cutting back) for 30 minutes or more.
Do the BL workouts at least 4 times total.
Lost 1.5 lbs per week for a total of 6 lbs and lost 1% more body fat for the month.
Keep my diet switched up, it seemed to work last week :).

Well, I saw my doctor Friday and she said I need to exercise 5x a week, not just 3 so that is my first goal. (DH and I joined up at YMCA Sat and have gone twice so far) Second, a group of women at work and I have a little side contest that starts today. We measure inches today (on 7 areas) then again on 10/1. There was a $20 buy in and person w/ the most total inches lost wins the pot. It's at $120 now, so whoever wins (me, heehee) can buy a nice outfit or two. :o) Just added motivation. Other than that, just stick to the diet (I passed up cheesecake for a birthday yesterday!!) and keep exercising.

I'm upping my exercise this week! I've been doing my treadmill or Nordic track 5X for 30 - 45 minutes. This week (so far so good yesterday and today) I'm shooting for a 40 minute minimum. 1 hour and 10 minutes at 3.5 mph on the treadmill (hamster wheel)today! :-) Annie

My first week of August goal is to get back in the gym...sleep sounded too good yesterday and this morning. I hope to loose 3 lbs this week. I know loosing 4 a week like I did the first 2 is unrealistic, and after a while 3 will be too- but I want to take advantage of the momentum while it is going.
