I am no expert by any means but if you mean you aren't giong ot the bathroom more despite more water intake I would talk to a dr soon!! That doesn't sound right! If however you are peeing left and right but are swollen, it could be your salt intake or "any number of things including the weather". This is what my dr told me yesterday as my legs have been swollen for a

I have found that the less carbs I eat, the less water I retain. Since I have been on an extremely low carb and VERY low calorie diet(probably around 500 calories per day)diet, my water retention is minimal if at all. I'm sure that you realize this, but the number of calories you are consuming each day is far over what your body needs. In order for your body to burn fat, you need to reduce your calories. You need to be burning more calories than you take in in order to lose. Anything that you consume that your body doesn't need for energy gets stored as fat.
I hear you about it being hard to give up food. I weighted 276 at my heaviest and am only 33. So, I too know what it is like to be extremely over weight. Miserable. Finally, after getting turned down for health insurance due to my weight, my desire to be thin and healthy surpassed my desire for food. But I tried many different diets before I found that the only way I can stay on is if it is VERY strict and Dr. monitored. Now I have lost 28.3 pounds in 33 days. I have not "cheated" on my diet one time. I definately feel there is some divine intervention here because this is not my usual pattern for dieting.
You may consider seeing your Dr. about the retention and also inquiring about a strict diet plan that specifies what you eat and when you eat it. It also sounds like you may benefit from an Overeaters Anon. group?
I feel for ya! It's hard to give up the food, but your health will be so much better. Keep posting. You know the old saying, Fake it til ya make it. Just don't give up on yourself. You deserve to be healthy and thin!
Take care and good luck. If you find out anything unusual about the water retention, let me know, I would be curious about it.
