Ok. I was kinda, not really but KINDA struggling for a couple of days. I never went off my diet, but I came close for the first time. Scary. Then on Wed. I went to the Dr. and found out that I have lost 36.3 pounds in 47 days! So, that helped me stay on it. I had to eat at the hospital cafeteria that night(they have AWSOME food!), which, if I had not gone to the Dr. for that great motivation I probably would have screwed up. So, I ordered a plain, grilled chicken breast and salad with no dressing, just balsamic vinigar and walked with my step-mom to the table. Now, the last time I had ate there it was kinda a tight sqeeze into the chair(arms on the chair). Very uncomfortable. But guess what!? I fit normally. Not 100% comfortable, but no major bulges!! I even fit into booths now that I didn't really fit in before! I'm shrinking and it's awsome! I no longer feel the need to cheat. Everytime I think about how good ice cream sounds, I just think about how much better it is to fit in booths in public places. No more embarrasing moments asking to please wait for a table instead. :)

I have a detailed post somewhere in history. But I am on a protein sparing modified fast through an internal medicine physician. VERY low carb. Just lean meats and fish, and some veges. Small portions. The plan puts your body into starvation so that it burns your fat for energy. You just eat enouh meat and veges to prevent your body from using it's muscle too. I'm never hungry. I have to remember to eat. I am in extra large ketosis at all times. Can'tgo off or I can get very very sick. Like, hospital sick. So, after 4 months she takes me off and I go on a maintenance plan for 3 weeks and then back on the plan again for 4 months and then I should be done.

It sounds awful, but it's not. I love it! And it's working soooo well for me. Very exciting.

Wonderful! How exciting! Those are the kind of victories that make the weight loss worth it. And what an outstanding weight loss that has been. Congrats on all fronts. You are an inspiration!
