I had my son 4 months ago and I know that they say that it takes 9 months to put it on and 9 months to take it off. I am losing all of my motivation and feel like I am putting it on not taking it off. I walk alot, sometimes. But I am beginning to feel depressed. I need a little pick me up.

Until I fell off the wagon recently b/c of that unexplained gain, I was doing so well by really watching calories.

I started back to work when DD was only 5 1/2 weeks old :(, and I completely understand the feeling drained thing. I'm dealing with that today majorly. My best advice is that if you feel like you need to nap and can actually do it, then nap instead of exercising. If you just feel tired but can't go to sleep (that's usually my problem), then maybe try going for a short walk. Sometimes when I come home from a 10 or 12 hour day and don't feel like doing anything, I say to myself "Okay, I just have to walk the dog for 15 minutes, then I can stop if I want to". Usually I feel energized after the first 5 minutes or so and manage to make it 25 minutes or longer, but, sometimes I'm still exhausted at the 15 minute mark and I do stop. Fifteen minutes is better than none and it fits a lot easier into your schedule than an hour at a time does. If you are nursing, you should still be able to diet, but I wouldn't try cutting too much. I know a woman who is nursing her 4 month old and weighs right at 200 lbs and she consumes an average of 1600-2000 calories a day, but isn't super strict. Nursing didn't work for us (my milk NEVER came in), so I can restrict more, but I still average at least 1800 calories a day. It really is a lot of food and you don't ever have to feel hungry. Feel free to read my journal below if you want some ideas or to see how I do it.
