Frustrated right now.....
| Fri, 08-25-2006 - 9:22am |
I am so frustrated with myself right now. I used to be in the habit of eating in the middle of the night. I thought I broke this habit until last night. I got up about 1 AM and ate a handful of chocolate covered cashews and 3 big spoonfuls of peanut butter and a big glass of milk OUCH!!! My parents are very supportive of me, but my Mom brings a lot of junkfood home (and she's diabetic). So, it's very hard for me sometimes to stay away from the goodies. I have been doing so great, I don't know what happened. I was just so hungry even though I get alot of healthy food in throughout the day. WHY? WHY? WHY? I could just kick myself.

Don't be so hard on yourself.
I understand what you're feeling.
You just have to write it off as a setback and keep moving forward.
Maybe you're not eating enough? I know that happens to me. When you get really ravenous like that and just start eating whatever you can find (spoons of peanut butter find their way into my mouth on their own too), it probably means you're not eating enough. We are big women. We need more food than our lighter counterparts. Try adding an ounce or two of protein to each meal or maybe your snacks. Or, you could try adding more fiber-rich foods. Personally I like protein because it tends to be a little more enjoyable than fiber (celery vs. chicken breast for example). Good luck and just try to move forward.
I'm with you 100%!!!

I have a problem too. I been eatting peanut buuter as well. I went and stopped buying luch meat luike turkey or ham and just eat a half of peanut butter sandwich for lunch. Cause I love peanut butter alot. I had a problem with bingeing at a meal even breakfast eatting an egg and cereal and then a slice of cake or something. I was hoping to be under 300 by thanksgiving but I don't know. My doctor has always been on me to lose weight. it's so hard. Maryanne 322/318/250
I used to do this a lot (still do sometimes).. wake up in the middle of the night, eat chocolate, then go back to sleep.. then feel like crap the next day.
If it's real hunger then maybe you need to eat a little snack before you go to bed? Think about it this way,
