Any Ideas?

I have a really bad habit of getting up in the middle of the night eating (well bingeing) and I can't seem to break it. I'm not as bad I used to be, but it is a really bad habit. My habit seems to be to get up and have 3-4 big spoonsfuls of peanut butter with a really big glass of milk. The past couple of nights have been pretty bad. My Grandmother does this too, but she's like a size 8. I wish I would have gotten her genes to be petite and slim. I am 5'11" and am a pretty big girl. Oh well, I'm trying to make changes, right? Any suggestions on how I can avoid this habit? Please help!!! Thanks!

it depends what you are eating during the day.
Save 3-4 points for after dinner. In the evening have maybe a 1 point whole wheat bread or crackers with some turkey breast. then just before going to bed have a yogurt. Since i started doing the yogurt i find i sleep better.
also write it before you bite it!!! remember that at night.

Maybe you're just hungry? If that's the case, a snack before bedtime can do the trick.
And until you kick that habit for good, try puting out some healthy snacks in the open
Jena,
I also have a habit of LOVING to eat right before bed. My husband helps by reminding me that we "don't eat after 8" (which sometimes makes me want to pound a hammer into his skinny little head..kidding!!)
What has helped me though, and I have heard it before is using teeth whitening strips. If you put them on at 8 or 9- whenever you want to stop eating- it will distract you for 30 minutes- and maybe you will forget about the need to snack.
If you are waking up in the night-maybe try the paint on nighttime whitening stuff.
Good luck!!!
Wow, that's a tough one.
