I really need to get back on track.....

I am so embarrassed that I am still not back on track. I have been so overwhelmed with kids and school and job hunting and these dadblasted migraines. To top it all off I woke up yesterday with my chest killing me and went in to the dr and well.....I have a resp infection possibly with pluerisy the reason I was hurting so bad, or he said I could have just overdone it at dd6's bday party sunday and pulled something. Anyways, by the time I got in to see him I had a migraine, the lights in his office were really bothering me and making me feel really sick not to mention the brightly colored walls. OMG I thought I was going to die before I got outta there. He gave me some antibiotics and told me to come home and take a muscle relaxer and pain pill and the decongestant he gave me last month and go to bed. I went to bed at 6 pm and didn't get up til 8 am this morn. Now how is that for following dr. orders. LOL I woke a few times last night and the kids did wake me this morn to tell me bye and ask me something but I was right back asleep each time til ds woke at 8 and told me to get up!! LOL that sleep probably did more for me than any medicine could have!

Son of a...You have had such a bad run! At least the chest pains were something relatively minor compared to what I'm sure your worst fears were, but come on now! I HATE that every office in the country has fluorescent lighting. Once one of those bulbs starts to flicker the slightest bit it's a major migraine starter for me. I'm sure if you do your best to stay on track with little things you won't gain anyway. Hang in there sweetie! Annie

I knew what the chest pain was before I went to the dr. I knew I was getting sick the night before. I have asthma so chest pain isn't new to me. I just don't freak out over it anymore unless it is really different from what I am used to.

I would kill for a 14 hour sleep.. or a 12 hour sleep.. heck I right now would kill for an 8 hour sleep!

I'm glad the sleep helped you feel better.

Here I go..

You're always on a roller coaster.... But you know it may stay like that for a while (but I honestly hope it doesn't).. things will settle down a bit with school and all.. but then maybe something else will come up.. then something else.. it's life.. it's not fair.. but we just have to take it.. what other option do we have? And you can't keep postponing 'You' forever. You have to remember that you're the center here and if you come crashing down, everybody else will. And if you're not happy and feel you need to lose the weight but can't get to it because of everything going on... it may not be nice on the long run.

Even if you can't fully get on track.. try to stick to a half a$$ attempt.. I mean you can drink that work.. it won't be time consuming.. you can get some fruits and vegetables out and make it a point that they get eaten before the end of the day (by you that is LOL)..

These are just some thoughts.. I hope you're not mad at me.. I don't think I can be even thinking about weight loss if I were in your shoes.. But you are.. because you're a very persistent woman.. and I admire you for that.

I am making some attempt, that is why thank god I haven't gained. I mean I have but it I weighed in on day 1 if you know what I mean so I don't think I really have. I was up to 251 yesterday but am sure it is because of bloating! I feel like a new person since I got that sleep. I think my biggest problem has been that I have been SOOOOO tired, I haven't been sleeping good, and I haven't been feeling to UP lately, but the sleep and other things helped that. I don't deal well with stress at all in case you haven't noticed...LOL I guess things could be worse though. I was afraid I would step on the scale and it read 260 instead it wasn't up much at all. That is a plus for sure. I have been trying to drink my water, but I haven't drank much of anything lately. I felt so bad all I wanted to do was lay in bed, but I feel much better now. So today I am going to work on getting back to the basics, which for me is

Great news about the glasses-- I hope it will be at least a partial solution for those evil migraines of yours.

Yes, that sounds like an ugly situation and enough to throw anyone of track for a bit. Are you back on board now, MaryAnne?

I hope you don't gain. It really is hard not to listen to the rude and nasty comments people make. It is even worse when it is people who are supposed to care about you.

Thanks Misha, right now I am having a hard time adjusting to them. After about 10 min of wearing them things get blurry and I have to take them off for a few min. SO much for her saying wearing them 24 no matter what. Can she tell me how to do that and still see to drive and do school work til they adjust so things are blurry and out of focus.....LMAO No headache so far though.
