Fed Up with being FAT! (Rant)

Most recently I've become completely fed up with being fat. Currently I weight about 330 pounds at 6ft and I'm miserable! I'm totally exhausted. My digestion is a disaster, and I can't fit comfortably into the desks at school. I have to pick up my fat stomach and shift it to get in the seats. I'm miserable walking across campus. I feel like I'm dragging a dead body along with me. And to make matters worse I got a great look at myself on a six foot screen when the cameras were put on me at church. I've never felt so unattractive. I've been overweight since about third grade, and it's amaizing, but I really feel like I've finally gotten fed up and miserable enough to do something about it.

I can totally relate. It's so hard being heavy. Do you have a weight-loss plan?

(((Chayil))), I can hear how exasperated you are, and completely understand first-hand. I wonder how it had become so easy for me to look past my size. My top weight was 252 and I've lost 20 pounds. Already my clothes fit me better and some of my biggest size clothes look silly on me. I look at the rolls and jiggles I still have and think "How did it not bother me? How did I not see how big I had become?" I think the more I overdid it on food and the less I moved, the more my body became happy staying that way. I think self-awareness is one of the most important factors in being successful at losing the big numbers we need and want to take off. I try to channel the anger I feel at being this size into self-motivation rather than self-loathing. Try to picture a happier, healthier you on camera at your church, not just a more photogenic outside. You can do this for yourself! Ranting is okay, but now is the time to channel that emotion into something great! All the best, Annie

Hello Chayil and welcome to the board..

I understand where you're comming from.. I think we all here do.. But I also think it's great that you reached the point where you want to do something about your weight and want to change it. Congratulations on getting to the point where you resolve to do this. You're more than welcomed to vent here anytime you want :) and as Annie said the best thing is to take this feeling and turn it into motivation for you to go on.

Good luck on your weight loss journey.. did you decide on a plan of action yet?
