It's crunch time..

How are you all doing so far this week? Still sticking to your plan? Even if you started the week badly it doesn't mean it has to continue this way..

I've been going a bit crazy lately, don't know why.. I guess I'm either hormonal or going crazy LOL. Anyways, so far I haven't done any damage diet wise. But

The scale had me down two pounds from yesterday which has done wonders for my attitude. Though the realist in me isn't officially counting that until my next weigh in day on Tuesday. (Let's hope there is more to add to it by then.) TOM is almost over and I've been getting the sodium back in line and I'm back to my water. I feel like I'm cruising over this hump day! Annie

I haven't stuck to my goal of exercising at least twice by Friday, well...I still have today and tomorrow to do it. I tried all day to talk myself into riding my recumbant bike for 20-30 minutes. I even made up an upbeat playlist for my iPod so that I'd have something to listen to while riding. I kept telling myself, "After dinner and the clean up, I'll get on there and get to it." Dinner came and went and I found myself just finding chores to do to avoid the exercise. Next thing I knew it was time to get my four year old ready for bed and I decided it was too late. I am just a big, fat bag of excuses. I can't even explain why I'm being so childish about this. I know I have to exercise. UUUUUGGGGGHHHHH! I have to do this!

Okay, everybody line up to kick me in the booty, lol. I need it!

Kaelynn :o)

Edited to say.....I DID IT! It was just 20 minutes on the recumbant bike, but I did it! Now if I can just get a grip and keep it up. Yeah, I did something proactive.....Yeah me! LOL! ;0)

I think right now I am 80% on track. I excercised yesterday and today. I have been writing down everything I eat. I have been getting my water. I have been eating well with the exception of last night- and I am anticipating tonight being hard. DH's uncle was in town and took us out to an Italian restaurant- even the grilled chicken was covered in cheese. Andso I had a pretty decadent sausage ravioli in a very creamy gorgonzola.....bad-- BUT I did stop eating it before I felt full....so we had chocolate cake-- BUT we shared it, and I ended up eating less than a third of it, with DH eating the larger portion. So even though it was kind of a cheat it was a controlled cheat.

Tonight we are going to see Dave Matthews band, and doing dinner at a mexican place before. It is kind of like Chipolte, so I am hoping I can just get chicken and rice in a bowl with no tortilla- wish me luck!!

Okay everyone, let's kick it into high gear for the rest of the week! :)

Congrats on the drop on the scale Annie, my body does the same thing...will stay the same weight for a whiel, then drop 1-2 lbs. A loss is a loss, though, and it feels great :).

Kelli, congrats on the success you had eating out. I think that's what it's all about. You portion controlled and ate sensibly and enjoyed every minute of it (and it sounded DELICIOUS!).

As for me, I've done great so far this week, I only had a 2x3 portion of brownie made especially for me yesterday and I'm sure I'll do great today. The rest of the week...I'm making it my goal to get at least my 6 servings of fruits and veggies in every day and am going to try to get my dairy in, but other than that, my main goal is to eat like I'm trying to maintain since EVERY meal Thursday through Sunday will be eaten at a restaurant of some sort (or catered).

Staci

Kaelynn, good job in getting in that workout..

BTW for me the idea of exercising for 30 minutes was always daunting and like you I always (still do sometimes LOL) give myself excuses not to do it. But I've been doing better since I told myself that I only have to use the bike for 10 minutes.. and it works.. sometimes I go for more than 20 minutes (recently this has been the norm) and sometimes I say enough after 10min, but even then I already have 10 minutes of exercise which is better than nothing and you can still tick the day on your calender LOL
