Welcome to the board! I think you will find that many of us can relate to promising a thousand "tomorrows" and always finding it was another day off. Like you the idea of being here and healthy to enjoy life with my kids and hubby is truly driving me to a healthier lifestyle. I'm looking forward to the day when a bunch of us can have a 100+ pounds LOST board! Hope to see you there, oh, and in the meantime here! :-) Annie 252/232.5/156
P.S. Your daughter is an angel. What a light she must be in your life after the tragic loss of your son!
I'm new here too. So far the ladies have been amazing friendly! Congrats on your daughter. Sorry to hear about your son, that is so tragic. My prayers are with you. I just had a son 6 months ago also. I was lucky enough to have no complications until my 34th week when my blood pressure shot up (which has always been normal or low) and I was on bedrest till 37 weeks when I was induced. But he's my pride and joy and I wouldn't change the pregnancy or him for the world!!
My starting weight was 314, but just after a few days I've lost two pounds. I'm eating six small meals a day and eating healthier. I don't believe in dieting, I feel it does no good, especially for me. I hope everything goes well and I'm here if you need me! Once again WELCOME!!
Welcome to the board, Laurie! Its great that you're ready to commit to getting healthy. The first step is always a doozy, but you'll find plenty of support around here.
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Six weeks ago I went into preterm labor at 20w and my little baby girl was born sleeping. The docs couldn't stop it because my water had already broken. *hugs* It's a hard thing to go through but when you start focusing on something else it makes it a little easier. I tried to eat very healthy in my pregnancy too. The first three months I actually lost 10lbs and then gained back 5 the last two months. When I got home from the hospital I regained 8lbs! So, now I'm here trying to heal and loose weight so I can be even healthier for my next baby, God-Willing.
It's going to be hard at first but as you loose weight you'll start feeling great and more motivated to do even better! I went from 240 to 218, then I got pregnant so I'm starting again.
Hi welcome to the board. Congrats on your little girl. This board is awsome. very supportive. we all know how it feels to Bigger so feel free to be open. I wish you the best of like on your weight loss.

Hi Laurie and welcome to the board..
Congratulations on reaching 'tomorrow'.. for me, reaching the mentality to actually begin (or re-commit) is a HUGE step. You can do this!
Good luck in your journey.. have you decided on how to start yet? Following any specific plans?
