Good morning ladies! Thanks so much for the welcome, I'm so glad I decided to jump in here. Can you even believe that fall has started?! Where did this year go, it's unreal!
I know for me personally, this will be the last time EVER that I will be this heavy. I refuse to get to this same time next year being this big or bigger, no way!!! What would be really nice is having xmas of '07 roll around and I am very close to goal. May be wishful thinking but I am certainly going to try my hardest!
Does anybody have any small goals set for themselves to help see them thru this process? I know for me in the past, I always tended to look at the big picture instead of small steps and later would get so discouraged. For me, I've made a goal for the fall season(13 weeks)and that is to try and lose 24 pounds. Since I'm a visual person I even made a fall tree & hung it on my fridge, (ok, so I am a big dork! lol) and each leaf will represent one pound. So with each pound lost I get to take down that many leaves. I haven't figured out a reward yet, I think I've just been so happy with the fact that I actually made the thing! lol Yes, it was fun to play kindergartner for a moment....
Anywho, I want to wish you all an amazing Saturday. I hope you all accomplish your goals for the weekend and enjoy your families & friends. Stay strong and keep on shining!

Good Morning and Happy Fall to you Danielle,
I'm so happy Summer is over. Our temps have been in the 80's this week and it's so good. I hate summer and the 100+ days.
Ugh, Fran I can certainly relate to the grocery store. I HATE that place. I cannot tell you how much time I've wasted just wishing that it wasn't necessary to eat! It's been several years now that I haven't been "allowed" at the grocery by myself. When I "came out" to my dh about my binge eating and the grocery store and then a few years later, therapy it was suggested to me to not go alone for awhile. Nothing like feeling like a 2 y/o! lol But seriously, guess I needed it? I dunno, but it seems to have helped some. I have been going alone now steadily for about the last 2 months and not buying a stash of food to hoarde so I guess you could say it's progress! This is probably more info than you ever cared to know, but I find it difficult sometimes when I cannot share with someone who might relate because my dh certainly doesn't! While he could stand to lose a few pounds he is by no means in a danger zone like me and really has no issues with food per se.
I hope you have a lovely afternoon and enjoy some "me" time. You should definitely make a tree and join me! I am such a visual person that little stuff like this helps me out alot. Besides, I had way too much fun making it and I am really proud of my art! LOL Your tree can be about anything really. Inches lost, or any other goal that you want to set. For me right now its gotta be about the pounds and I figure it's a small enough goal to not get me overwhelmed too much.
Take care!

YAY it's fall!! The best time of the year for me.. I love the weather in the fall!
Just realised I haven't officially welcome you to the board, so: Welcome to the board Danielle!!
I'm setting mini-goals myself too (I think we all do this here).. it's better than focusing on the big picture.. plus you get plenty of rewards along the way LOL. I just set a new goal myself: I want to get down to 200 by the new year.
