Well...since I find myself wanting to reply to posts and asking questions, I guess I should do the polite thing and introduce myself.
My name is Colleen.

HI Colleen,
I think using Nutri-System for a month is a great idea. It will give you a very good idea of what a serving size should be.
Colleen, I'm so glad you got to post an intro and finally get the ball rolling here for yourself. I hope that whatever you decide you have much success! I don't really see how it could be bad for you to do 30 days of nutri-system, but then I guess it depends on how you eat normally? I think you've done a marvelous job on your own just by cutting out certain things and being diligent with portions. Everything will certainly pay off in the end for yourself!
Good luck!

Welcome to the board, Colleen! Whether its with Nutr-System or not, just getting started at all is a great thing. You're taking the time to take care of yourself, eat healthy, and exercise. Its a sure bet that those changes will lead you wherever you want to go.

Welcome to the board and congratulations on already losing 15 lbs! I wouldn't worry too much about gaining and losing those same few pounds...think of it as practice for maintenance down the road :). I think it's wonderful what your father has offered to do for you and you are right that it could be a springboard to a healthier lifestyle all around. I know a few people who have done something similar and had it work. Good luck with the Nutrisystem and keep us updated!

Welcome to the board Colleen.. I'm glad you decided to post... it's way more fun than lurking!
Congratulations on the pounds you already lost.. looks like you're up to a great start! I am not familiar with nutrisystems, but I think if you stick with something it will work.. and after your month is up you're hopefully have a jumpstart weight
Is it possible to ask your dad to pay for a month of Weight Watchers or something else instead? A selling point is that this option might be cheaper than NutriSystem, if he's trying to keep things fair. But it might also be more helpful to you if you get a free month doing something that you can also keep up with on your own!
Best of luck to you, either way!
