Hi all!!
My name is Trina and I finally decided to come out of lurk mode.
Let's see, a little about me: I'm 22 (23 in two weeks) and I have been over weight all of my life. Seriously! The last time I was normal weight, I think I was like 6 weeks old or something. LOL! Growing up, I was one of those people who dieted every summer but never lost weight. Or I started a new diet every Monday because by Wednesday, I was pigging out again. In 2004, I decided to change my ways. I stopped eating beef and pork (which totally nixed my fave bacon cheese burgers) and started substituting sodas with water. I started watching my portions and I even did Curves for a month (it just wasn't my thing) By November 2005, I had lost a total of 50 pounds (give or take). I went from a size 22 to a 16 (depending on the store) But that was also the holiday season. Since then, I have put 30 pounds back on! And since I refuse to buy bigger clothes, I generally have nothing to wear.
I just bought a treadmill, and my goal is to stick to this diet and keep it off.
So hopefully, I'm listing this right...
(high/current/goal) 286/260/175 (My lowest weight was 234)

Welcome to the board! I also wanted to give you a congratulations for jumping back on the wagon before you gained everything back :). It's hard work losing weight, but sometimes it's even harder not gaining it all back (if it weren't harder, we wouldn't be here, would we?) Good luck and welcome again!

Welcome to the board, Trina! It sounds like you've taken control and you're headed in the right direction. Congratulations on getting back on track.

Thanks for the welcome, Angela!
Trina
Thank you, Staci!
Yeah, I'm dealing with a whole lot of 'shoulda, coulda, woulda's. LOL! If only I had kept those 50 pounds off, where would I be now? Oh well, back to the drawing board.
Trina
Thank you for the welcome, Kaelynn. Yeah, it is good that I'm back on the right track and all..LOL! Too bad I didn't figure this out like 6 months ago.

HI Trina and welcome to the board....
I didn't want to buy new "bigger" clothes so that is why I decided to join the board. I'm getting sick of having to wear the same old clothes and looking forward to getting some new ones!!
Good luck to you on your weightloss journey~~
Hi Trina!
I got my old (last year) WW book out to look up some fat grams and took a look at my weigh-in booklet. It made me sick. I was down to 283. Which means thai in a little over a year, I have gained almost 50 pounds.
I wish I had got back on the wagon at 30!
best of luck to you.
Terri
LOL! I'm what my friends call me an aspirational shopper. I buy clothes I know don't fit me and then try to lose weight to fit them. I did that all last year and it worked. So I have all these size 14 clothes from last year that I was wearing and they don't fit anymore. This year, I have bought a ton of clothes and they are all in bags with the tags still on at the bottom of my closet because they don't fit. My plan is to fit into all of my clothes in 6 months.
Thanks for wishing me luck. I have a feeling I'm going to need it. I had fried shrimp and french fries for lunch. *shaking my head*

I know what you mean, Terri. I have been keeping a weight lost journal since 8/2004. It was crazy how fast I was dropping the pounds back then. When I lost my first ten pounds, I was ecstatic. I also noticed that when I wasn't writing regularly (Every other month instead of every other day) I gained weight. I would start avoiding my scale when I knew I had been bad. I remember, earlier this year, when my scale and I weren't seeing eye to eye, I put it in the hallway closet and left it there for two months. LOL!
Thanks for the welcome, Terri. And best of luck to you too.
