Tackled week 1, am I ready for week 2?

Well I am halfway through week 1 of getting back on track. I tackled my water and for 2 days I have succeeded in my 64 oz. If I can survive the rest of the week I will tackle phase 2, cutting something out of my diet. I am thinking as to what, but I haven't come up with a plan yet. I don't eat too god awful for hte most part but lately I haven't been watching calories or anything like that just trying to get in my water. I am thinking cutting out junk for a week at a time and then on the weekend allow myself a treat. I would say cut out fast food but I know I am set to crash and burn on that one at this point in time. I have to work my way up to it. When I get to that point I am going to do it on a couple days at a time basis to build my resistance to not caving, then I will work up to 3 days at a time then 4 then 5 until I can go a week at a time without eating fast food, or at least without eating cheeseburger and fries which seem to be my weakness. I will try to make healthier choices when I eat fast food at this time.

Got my fingers crossed for you that the job offer is a great one. Sounds like you're getting back on track diet-wise. Its hard work. Make sure to give yourself a pat on the back for putting forth such great effort.

job isn't going to pan out!! It is okay though, I am still holding out for the state job. MIL told me today that Oct 1st was the beginning of their new fiscal year so they probably won't send anything out til then and since I scored so well on my last test I should get a letter for interview within the next month. Keeping my fingers crossed. DH has a company thing coming up anyways that I would need to be off one day during a week to attend so....maybe it is for the best. Trying to stay positive!!

Well, it's their loss! Anyway, think how bummed you'd be if you couldn't get the day off for DH's work thing? Hang in there sweetie. Sending positive vibes your way. Annie

Angela you can totally do this! By what I've read you have set yourself up with a very realistic plan of action IMO. You have been very honest with yourself about the realities of being able to stay on track with fast food. That is putting you so far ahead of the game, this is fabulous news. So many people try to cut it all off and deprive themselves completely that they end up crashing before they have a real chance for any success. Your goals are very attainable and I say go for it chicky! Baby steps all the way!

I am one of those who tried to cut it all off before......didn't work too well.....LMAO after about 4 yrs of trying to lose weight off and on I have found that I can't do super low cal, low carb, or restrict myself from fave foods. Junk I can do cuz unless I am pms'ing I could care less about chips, cookies and cakes. I had my cookies last night........LOL hope that was getting them out of the way for PMS and now I am ready to move forward slow and steady. I am trying to teach myself not punish myself. I started thinking seriously one of

My biggest problem with dieting is I don't eat the leafy green stuff......LOL I have tried but I just can't stand the stuff. DD loves it, I swear sometimes I think she was switched at birth.......LMAO

The rest I can try however!! For me it would just have to be the meat and cheese though......I like Taco bell but the ticked me off last time I was in there so I haven't been back there. LOL
