Hello everyone,
I have been checking out this website for about a week or so now, and just thought that I would stop lurking and introduce myself.
I am from Canada! and I am 33 weeks pregnant with our first child.
August 2005 I weighed in at 308, and during the first trimester of my pregnancy my lowest weight was 239 lbs. I am over that right now, 251 last count with only seven weeks to go in my pregnancy! Yikes, where does time fly.
I'm saying hello now, cause I am trying to get down to 135-155 lbs, slowly of course. I am afraid that with my mat leave my weight will just creep back up to what it was pre-weight loss, or just continue to gain.
I have tried to stay active during the last 8months, but that is definatley tapering off now, as I don't seem to have the energy or the balance. I still get in one core class per week most of the time.
Basically I am trying to find a support group that has the same kind of goals in mind for themselves as I do, so that I can restart the battle in about 2 to 3 months from now! How realistic that is, I don't know, but I will find out, won't I?

It sounds like you've really continued a healthy lifestyle throughout your pregnancy. Congratulations! That can't have been easy. Wishing you a continued healthy pregnancy and delivery. Welcome to the board, Marlene. Congrats on your bundle of joy that'll be showing up very soon. Its great that you're already planning to get fit after the baby comes. I know you're anxious to get started but these last few months you probably will be tired most of the time. Maybe you can use the time to research diet plans to find one that most appeals to you.
