Well I have been lurking for about two weeks and have decided I can't lose weight by just reading your stories, trust me I tried. I am 38 and have one daughter and two step kids, work a full time job and part time on weekends. With all this you would think I could lose some weight. I am only 5'4 and weigh 275. I bought the walk away the pounds dvd and just got it yesterday. I hate hate hate to exercise so this is my big hurdle. I have decided to start my program on Monday, eating right and exercising 4 days a week even if it kills me. My 10 year old did the 1 mile walk and said it was easy. I guess by the look on my face she realized I was scared and she said Mom you can totally do this. I am hoping to really do it this time and hope to find and give incouragement on this board. How did you guys get those cute little tickers on your messages? Well let's give this a try and see what happens. Thanks for letting me in this group. Cocchi

Welcome Cocchi! I think you will find alot of support & motivation here to help you along on your journey. The WATP dvd's are a great way to get yourself going with exercise. The moves are easy and very low impact--a fantastic way to get your body geared up for harder things as you progress. That is exactly how I eased into it and am glad I did because it really helped to keep me motivated to keep doing it. Also, Leslie Sansone isn't as annoying as most can be on some of these workouts! lol Not to mention, you will see great results!
Looking forward to good things to come for you. I know you can do this! One foot in front of the other and off you go!!! :D

Cocchi,
Welcome and congratulations on getting started! I think you will love the Walk Away the Pounds DVDs. They are so painless and the time seems to go so fast. (Sometimes I even pop the DVD in my computer and keep the sound low while I watch the TV with my soap on tape.) My 7 y.o. DS likes to do it with me too. I have a Denise Austin DVD for doing with kids, and hands down he prefers Leslie Sansone. Best wishes, Annie
Welcome to the board, Cocchi. Boy, you're one busy lady! I'm with you on the exercise thing. I hate it also. I'm doing it anyway and the results that show up on the scale keep me going. I'm 276 and 5'3" and I can do the 1 mile on the WATP dvds without passing out (LOL), so I bet you'll handle it just fine.
You have to pay for an Express Yourself membership to be able to use the tickers. Here's the link if you want to check it out:
