I was just wondering if anyone else reads this magazine. Its about weightloss and fitness and features real people who've lost a significant amount of weight. I've picked up the last two issues at Wal-mart and really like it. I get inspired when I see someone around my age who's lost 150 lbs. by eating healthier and exercising.

you are never too old to lose weight. i didn't start losing until i was in my mid 50's. The hard part is the weight loss is slower as you age but it works. its even more important to keep up the exercise now. You just have to make healthy choices, exercise, drink all your water and you can do it. If you believe in yourself you will succeed.
(now that I lost the weight i can get down to play with my grandchildchildre and keep up with them for the most part)

Thanks Sue....I really needed to hear that.
I think I've seen it on the shelves but have never thought to pick it up.
I agree with you Sue.
Don't know where my heads been lately, but it just occured to me that the magazine probably has a website...D'oh! So here it is if anyone wants to take a look. Sorry I didn't have the good sense to find this before I posted the first time.

as for your mom sometimes its hormonal and with a doctor's help and increased exercise the weight will come off, maybe a little slower but it works.
BTW you did read my stats incorrectly. i am at goal, actually under goal and have been at goal 3 years. i have lost a total of 164 pounds and Nov. 1 it will be three years as Lifetimer.

Oh Wow!
thank you thank you! I never tire and its never old news. look how far you have come - 63 pounds gone, what a great achievement. you will reach your goal before you know. just believe in yourself and you will succeed taking one step at a time!
now to answer your questions--
No i didn't use this board while losing. at the time i was a cl for another weight loss board, it more or less preceded the ww followers. Yes i lost my weight through Weight Watchers, still live the program. I also am a receptionist for them doing only one meeting a week. I come to this board to offer support as well as grab support when i need it. there is no magic bullet and its even harder to maintain than lose. i try to never lose grasp of that. I worked too hard to backslide. Maybe i am just too stubborn to let myself backslide for more than a meal here or there, very seldom.
One of my hardest challenges are going to work - lots of temptations. my way of dealing with it is bringing my own food and snacks, avoiding the places where the temptations are kept and keeping a before picture in plain view.
