Hey guys,
I was noticing that a lot of people are hitting a wall, myself included. I don't know how or why it's so easy to forget what we're doing and why we're doing it, but this morning I gave myself a huge reminder. (Yeah, right after I stared at the scale in horror and saw a 2.5 weight gain.)
Here's some of what I told myself today:
1. I don't have to accept that I've always been fat and always will be. A few bad days don't change that. (I'm not going to create a self-fulfilling prophecy here!)
2. I didn't gain so much weight overnight and I even did it with some pretty healthy stretches mixed in. Maybe I just have to accept that I'll have a few bad stretches while I'm losing.
3. I forgive other people I love when they mess up. Time to forgive myself and to get busy correcting my mistakes.
What sort of self-talk motivates you and gets you back on track? Let's stop confessing our sins and feeling guilty. It's so easy to get bogged down in how we screwed up and get back on track! Annie

You know, I don't really know what self talk motivates me.
Annie, thanks for sharing that. I needed the reminder! Everytime I've tried to lose the weight before, I've gotten in my own way by trying to be a perfectionist and having an "all or nothing" attitude.
Motivation is 50% of any really good weightloss plan. I know that it makes a huge difference in mine. I'm going to try to remember to be as supportive of myself as I am of others.
Thanks ;o)

Annie I just saw this post now and you're so right.. it's time to get fired up again!
1. A few bad days won't undo one year of hard work.
2. I know I can do it because I know I can do anything I want. I have all my life under my control, why
