roller skating and my weekend...

On saturday we had a birthday party at a roller rink for my 5 yr old neice. DD (2.5 yrs old) had her skates on and the management told me that in order to be out on the rink youhad to have skates on... well i figured how hard could it be i used to skate all the time.. (15 yrs and about 150 lbs ago) LOL....
so it took be about 15 minutes to make 1 lap around the rink, my calves, thighs and feet were burning by the time i got all the way around.. but i didn't fall.. needless to say i took those skates of and then put my sneakers back on and walked DD around the rink aobut 4-5 times after that. I figured that if they didn't want me out there w/ my sneakers then they could just kick me out.

Saturday night, I went out for a girls night out.. went to eat at Outback steak house, i had a really yummy mixed drink called Frozen strawberry kiwi lemonade".. then i had 2 pieces of bread, some cheesy fries, and my salad.. when the steak and garlic mashed potatoes came i was so stuffed i had to get it in a carry out box.. (which is my lunch today).. Then we went to see the movie THe Guardian. it was awesome.. i was so full i didn't have any popcorn or soda. I was home around midnight.

Sunday-ate breakfast with the kids, ham, egg & cheese bisuits, then after DH got up I went for walk w/ kids while he got ready, then we went to the farmers market, and spent about 2 hrs there.. they have a little petting zoo there too, with goats, deer, pheasants, bunnies, etc.. I ate a carmel apple for lunch. then we went home. for dinner DH made: pork roast, mashed potato, corn and gravy.. YUM... i only had 1 serving.. (good for me). was in bed by 11

so overall it wasn't a really bad weekend as far as eating goes, but i could've been much better...

can't wait to weigh in tomorrow to see how much "damage" i've done.

Looks like you really had a great weekend and enjoyed yourself. Way to go with the roller skating! I will never have the nerve to do that! What kind of roller skates did you have on? Nowadays I see kids using roller skates with all 4 wheels aligned behind each other.. you know.. I can never imagine how I can balance myself on that thing.. but again I grew up with those metal things strapped to your shoes LOL

we had choice of roller blades (4 wheels in line) or the "old fashion type" with the 2 wheels in front/back.. i did the old style, thinking it would be easier for me.. yeah, nothing easy about it.. my nephews (ages 12 & 13) had a good time racing circles around us (they play ice hockey and are very good skaters)
