Welcome to a great board - for help and support.

first it might be a good idea to get your doctor's approval of whatever plan you choose. key components to losing weight are first making it a life style change with something you can live with the rest of your life. make healthy choices, drink at least 64 oz(preferably more) of water, exercise aiming for 30-60 min a day alternating between an aerobic program and a weight training. there are many good ones but you need to find the one that will work for you.

good luck hope to see your posts.

Julie,

welcome to the board! I have always had excellent luck with weight watchers. When I am on plan, and recording everything I eat- I lose quickly. Excercise is the other key component - without it- It does not work as well or as long term. And the more you lose the more you want to work out :) I agree with Sue that is has to be a lifestyle choice- and the thingks WW teaches- as far as portion control, getting all your fruits and veggies, as well as dairy and a vitamin are important healthy lifestyle choices.

Good luck with withatever you decide to do!

Hi Julie! Welcome!

You have come to a great place for support. As far as advice goes, I think what works for each person is very much a personal thing - what might work for one of us may

Welcome to the board Julie. First time around, how did you lose the 40lbs? And what happened for you to gain it back? If you got tired of your diet then it's probably not the plan to follow again. Why don't you tell us a little more about yourself and I hope we can help. I hope you decide to stick around. There is a very supportive group of ladies here.
