The joys of fitness.
Joy is being able to climb on the monkey bars with my children and hang upside down.
Joy is getting up first thing in the morning..having NO aches and pains..and springing out of bed (well..almost springing)
Joy is being able to shop at any store..and find my size..and know it'll look good.
Joy is going to the beach with my kids and not being self conscious about what I look like in a bathing suit.
Joy is digging in the sand, playing in the surf, and yes SURFING for the first time at that beach.
Joy is seeing skinny jeans come back in style..and going "YES!"
Joy is finding a bra in a regular store that fits..and costs less than 50 dollars.
joy is being able to outrun and outbike other women..that are 20 years my junior.
Joy is being more excited about a pair of new Mizuno's than what is on the buffet table at a wedding reception.
Joy is seeing and feeling my muscles respond to the work I require of them, pushing them to their limits..and suprising even myself at how strong I can be.
Joy is being able to carry an extra backpack on a hike...that one of my husbands macho male friends was too tired to carry any longer..and doing it with ease.
Joy is listening to my husband brag about me to his friends..when he doesn't think I'm listening.
Joy is being able to piggy back my 9 year old...for a long time.
Joy is working out with my ipod turned on..the tunes *I*, love. My space, my head, no distractions.
Wow...I could go on forever. Next time you want to skip a workout..think about the joy it can bring you. Who else would like to add their fitness/diet "joy"?

Thanks for the great inspiration! I am just starting a fitness program (10 days in a row WOOHOOO).. so I only have a few joys to share
