I am new to this board but thought it might help in my weight loss.
i am currently 230 lbs & wear a size 20-22 pants and shirts are 3x ( large in the chest) ........my goal is to be in a size 14 womens so i can wear the dress i was married in by the time my 15 wedding anniversary comes around ( our 11th is in may)

my daughter ( she is 11) and myself have bought the (dont laugh) richard simmons sweating to the oldies workouts, plus we have tae bo , 7 we LOVE dancing the Cha Cha slide.
so our plan is to work out 20 minutes a day ( to begin with & work up to longer as we go......i have a nerve disease that limits me)
we did this once before and the 1st week i lost 6lbs and she lost 4 lbs.
she is a little "chubby" in the middle to & it bothers her so this will help Tone her muscles.
she is 11 & 125 lbs
i am 33 and 231 lbs
we start today so we will be posting once or twice a week to post & "bond" with others struggling.

Hello and welcome! I want to say how awesome I think it is that you are doing this with your daughter. I was always on the chubby side as a child (starting at 11 yrs old) and I WISH my Mom would've done that with me. I was active in the sports sense and I loved to ride my bike, etc but wasn't "exercising."
I wish you guys the best of luck and I do not think it's CORNY to do the Richard Simmon's workouts. I used to have some myself and hey- whatever it takes to get you moving, right?
