and got ran over by it. Got dang it. I had lost 8 pounds and I gained it right back thanks to the period from hell, tons of Halloween candy and my addiction to cheese. And now I have Thanksgiving in 2 weeks?!? This is so not the season to buckle down. Goodness...

Hi Trina,

I'm sorry to hear about your gain. Holidays have to be the worst for dieting!! Only
thing is: I told myself that if I use that for an "excuse", I'm never going to do this!
Just dust yourself off & try again..get all the "bad stuff" out of the house, so you
can't be as tempted. Best of luck to you!

i'm not looking forward to the holiday foods either.

but at least we will all be in the same boat... all of us will be trying to avoid overeating..

good luck to us.

I'm with Jan on this one. The holidays are just like any other day. Yes, they're food holidays, but you can have those foods any time you want them.

Don't let the holiday season be an excuse for falling off the wagon. There is never a better time to prove to yourself that you are willing to be a healthier person than during the Christmas holiday season!

You can do it.

I know I should throw out that bag of candy but...I lovvvvve twix! Ok, maybe I'll give it away. My friends like candy too.

Now, the cheese thing isn't going to be as easy...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the mac and cheese is going to be my downfall...

Why couldn't the favorite holiday food be salad and bananas?

Thanks for the encouragement! I'm going to need it. I honestly don't know how I'm going to get through the next couple of months without gaining like twenty pounds.

Trina, you can look at it this way, you maintained your weight through halloween. Now you can do the same thing with Thanksgiving, you can get into gear now and lose a few pounds for the next couple of weeks, then if the worse hits at Thanksgiving, you'll also maintain your weight. And throw away that candy! Halloween was one day, not an extended period till Thanksgiving. Just get yourself back on track for only 2 weeks, and enjoy a great Thanksgiving holiday.
