Do you think it's good to keep your "fat clothes" after losing weight or get rid of them?
I think it's better to clean my closet of anything that is too big. Only keeping maybe
1 pair of "fat pants" as a reminder of how far I've come & that I never want to go back
there.

get rid of them - if you keep them around its giving yourself permission that you have clothes to get back into. if you have only your new clothes, you are more likely to keep the weight off.

Very good question..

Did I get rid of the big stuff I have? I'm afraid No.. OK I'm cheap! I want to get pregnant again soon and I think I may need the clothes. This is my excuse of keeping them. I have them hidden in the closet with the nursing bras and other maternity stuff and I feel really good when I add something to that shelf. But they're still there you know.

I know I'm not giving good advice here, I really wanted to say: throw them all away, but didn't feel very honest saying that when I didn't throw them away myself

I think I'll give them to my sister - they were expensive and they're in good shape, and she's about the same size I was. And, selfishly, it will feel good to see her wearing what doesn't fit me anymore. ;-) I'll keep one pair of "fat jeans" like the first poster said, to see where I was. Maybe I'll eventually take a picture of myself wearing them, like one of those After photos. Then I'll get rid of them and put the pic on my fridge to remind me of where I've been and how far I've come.

Convention says to get rid of anything you haven't worn in a year - but I'm glad I kept my old clothes now. I'm wearing my "fat clothes" as long as I can. I kept my "skinny(skinnier)" clothes, and I'm wearing them again, but that's the direction I want to go. Down, not up.
