Honey, I'm sorry. Did your doctor say if that's typical on your kind of diet? I would guess that most people fall off the wagon going from so many restrictions to everything loosening up all of a sudden. It's like you were a kid turned loose in a candy store! Does this mean that you're back to the strict diet? Annie
Try to think of it that you are still down so many lbs from where you started. Okay so you slipped up and gained 14 lbs, it will come back off when you rededicate yourself. I know this cuz you have proven to be a very strong woman. Anyone who can live with the restrictions you did has to be strong. Move forward and don't linger with what you can't change, just recommit yourself and lose those and even more again.
Just focus on what you *have* accomplished, and not on what you haven't. You have come so far in such a short time, it seems only expected that you might slip up a little at first, but it's not going to ruin all the progress you have made.
You're right; don't beat yourself up about it, just go from here. You've lost a lot of weight, so you're doing great!
I don't know if this will help at all, and it's probably hard to do with all the tickers around, but have you thought of not weighing yourself? This is my commmitment to myself this time around. I'm only going to get weighed when I go to doctors, which is every couple of months or so. I don't want this to be all about the numbers; I want to focus on how I feel, how my clothes fit, what I'm accomplishing every day. I couldn't tell you how much I've lost in the last week, if anything, but I feel healthy and I'm sticking with my plan, so it's all good.
same here I was at a all time low 14 days ago at 313 lbs now i am way up at 320lbs in the morning. i have a hint my scale may be broken but it is something i will not know till i go to the doctor again.
You gained 14 pounds.. not good.. but you can lose it again and the rest of the weight.. that's good :)
If anyone can do it, it's you. If I know you at all, then the first weigh-in you'll be down those 14 pounds. Remember that a lot of it would be water weight and once you get back on track it will melt away.

Something to think about. Good luck to you!
